Hughesy Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Rather than moan about the staff and use them as an excuse to not go in. Forget that, go in for the love of your club. If you dont like the staff, when rovers run it, complain time after time. Im sure if enough people complain about the same person then it will be noticed. Just have patience with Rovers and give them your money, not Mike Ashley (Soccer sports) or Chris Ronnie (JJB). Cant wait for the shop and i will buy loads of merchandise from them. If only to prove the point that its appreciated then its worth it!

spanishblue Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Brilliant news, maybe I can start getting things for the kids again
philipl Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 The online shop is closing with immediate effect and will only be re-opened after the physical shop has re-opened.
sleepyjack Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 On the way out after the Derby game, i saw a couple both wearing black 'surfer-type' T-shirts with a Santa Cruz emblem on the back. Does anybody know where you can get them? It's a skateboard / snowboard clothing company. I met someone on holiday wearing one of these shirts and had to ask. SC Skate
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Rovers goalkeepers shirts should be orange. Apparently according to research the colour is the one that breaks up quickest in human eye contact and therefore it can help to put a striker off. Cech was going on about it, as his is Orange for next year.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I hope Ken Beamish is ready for the hundreds, possibly thousands of Rovers fans who will turn up for the opening of the new store.....
bubblerrovers Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Well done to the club, i can see me spending at least a ton over the season and maybe even more if the online side works well.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Yeah, an actual online shop would be a god send

Ronin Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 That certainly looks like it'd put off most strikers, no wonder we won the Premiership with Flowers wearing that!

If only to prove the point that its appreciated then its worth it! its not a case of love of the club tho for me,it is principle and i wont go back to ANY place where i have been talked to and treated like a piece of ######.Yes I complained and was told i was going to get an apology by phone and nearly 12 months on i am still waiting....jjb still is the place i will go for my shirt end of.
1864roverite Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I am certain that if some overseas members of this board require merchandise then it can be arranged through the local members of this forum. Especially as they seek to rejuvenate the club shop.
roversmum Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I hope Ken Beamish is ready for the hundreds, possibly thousands of Rovers fans who will turn up for the opening of the new store..... The shirt signing was bad enough last year. I was pushed about by John Newsham as if I was a 10 year old - still annoyed about it completely spoiled the occasion for me. Abbey, for the sake of your fellow fans, I think you should bring that matter up again and point out to JW that you are still waiting for the apology.
only2garners Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Just back from a week's holiday in Cornwall to hear that we have a successful conclusion on the club shop. For the posters above I'm sure that fan pressure had an effect, although I know that the club have been determined as the fans to get back control for over 12 months - they have been aware for some time of the problems of SWI not fulfilling their side of the contract. I like to think that constant pestering by the Fans' Forum had some effect as well but in truth i think it was just a matter of getting a successful legal outcome which took longer than anyone wanted.
Oklahoma Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Club shop clearance sale http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...1316650,00.html
doctorryan Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Can anybody get down there and see what's going for what?
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Was in there before the Derby game and unless you need a XL/XXL (some L available) in most things you are out of luck That said I got a rain jacket for £12 and the tracksuit (only wanted the top part) for £20
cletus Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i got a black & red halved away shirt for £13.50 last week
bennyboyt11 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i want a sweater, but unfortunately it would take me roughly 7 hours to get there
Lee Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Can anybody get down there and see what's going for what? This lot for starters:
matt65 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 was passing the place today and the mrs decided she wanted to pop in,yes the stuff is dirt cheap as the advert shows and they seem to have a fair range of sizes apart from shorts,we ended up picking up umbro gear for the lad for his hols, trouble is that you end up waiting ages to be served, the oroginal tills have been removed and they are using the ones for printing out match day tickets, every item you buy ends up with a seperate ticket printed instead of one receipt, very time consuming.Worse though the lady put a pair of trainers through twice and they cant remove single items so had to start over again much to the amusement of the 20 people waiting behind us.
Ste B Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 As per Fans Forum... Rovers have had to make a few short term temporary solutions to keep the thing running at all. Please bear with them until they can get the right infrastructure in place. SWI basically took all their stuff and left it to us to get a shop running again. Anyway.. Sports world have been in trouble this week for dodgy CLOSING DOWN sales this week. Shame we didnt advertise this sale as such

Oh dear what a disaster. Must Do Better. Let's get a major retailer in to run the place - asap. They'd never make such basic errors. Poundland would be my choice for the summer.
