Beta Ray Bill Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I think the receipt issuing problem is down to what SteB mentioned about SWI taking all their stuff out. Although sourcing some new tills can't be too difficult (but short term hire might not be cost effective?), I wouldn't have thought it was as much of an issue as shifting the gear. If the ticket machines perform the task reasonably well (yes it's a tadge slow, took a few mins for me to buy 6 items on Sunday) surely it makes sense to run with available equipment in the few weeks until the refurb? Cut the club some slack, they are doing the best they can in the immediate term and they did say their might be a few hiccups until the full relaunch.

Ninjathunder Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 That certainly looks like it'd put off most strikers, no wonder we won the Premiership with Flowers wearing that! I think that shirt was worn the season before we won it. The shirt the season we won it was either plain green or yellow.

only2garners Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Monday's a Bank Holiday Still don't think it's a justification for opening all night
3rdpillar Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 JUst been down and picked up some bargains. Karrimore walking shoes 20, jacket, tshit etc. Good value. BUT be prepared to wait along time queuing at lunchtimes. The was 20mins from queue to being served. The time is being taken by people purchasisng loads of items at once, and the staff taking time to process each item. A few people behind put things on the nearest peg and left... lunch Hour NOT all afternoon to browse.

hawaii501 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Been down today bought myself a Rovers coat and the home and away socks
Iceman Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 U lads are very lucky.those prices are superb.:-( any chance we could have Rovers merchandise sold here in South Africa.Lee i know we aint on speaking terms, but could u put that suggestion forward.
Rover Down Under Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Fantastic news that the club got the shop back, I sent a couple of emails in the last year complaining about the online shop, nice to know you are listened to. I hope we get as much merchandise as was available the last time the club shop was decent (the mid 90's). And here are a few suggestions for new merchandise that I don't think have been tried before: - Rovers stubbie holders - temporary tattoos - adhesive laptop, mobile phone and xbox360 skins - mouse mats - Rovers toaster - ipod holders - Rovers condoms - Rovers vibrators (starts off slow, picks up, then batteries run out, ends in dissapointment) getting a bit carried away aren't I...

spanishblue Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Thanks for that, just managed to get some stuff for my son. Just have to get my mate to bring it out when she is over in 2 weeks (I'm a cheapskate when it comes to postage abroad )
Brfcrule1 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Hi all, thanks for that Sparky's rovers have just got myself last seasons home and away strips laters all.
Iceman Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 There is an offline shop you can use http://www.sportsdirect.com/category-Black...s-REPFBLBLA.htm eoin you irish goon lol,it would probably cost me more in Postage and Packaging, than the cost of the actual item.Unless somebody is coming over to Cape Town, and who would bring it along for me. can never quite understand why P&P are most of the times, more than the actual item that you purchased.
bellamy11 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 can never quite understand why P&P are most of the times, more than the actual item that you purchased. Because jet fuel costs more than polyester?

They are high class thieves at Sportsdirect. I was going to order a Rovers away top from there and they wanted $51 in shipping costs to America. It doesn't cost more than $10 to mail a jersey across the Atlantic, heck the club shop last offseason mailed me a home jersey top for $7 shipping.
