daveoftherovers Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Agree with the others that have been, I'm quite a few quid lighter than I thought I would be when I got there, BUT, in a good way. i.e. It's great, you can see it just getting even better as they stock it out. The clothing is excellent, scarves with just ROVERS on it, Tins of paint Rovers Blue with "Matt finish" over a pictue of Matty Darb's, Mini kits, yes, they are back! Baby grows, towels, cushions .....and gone is all the chavvy tat ! Well laid out, some nice decor and the main picture is versus liverpool (Someone asked earlier) and full shots on the windows of the premiership win and the worthy cup win. All good stuff. THE CLUB SHOP IS BACK!! Well done Rovers!

They should have had photos of Bentley Santa and Friedel in the window........no maybe not.
Exiled in Toronto Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Would all the free marketeers who trumpeted the Sportsworld abomination as being good for our club please now present the case for why the new clubshop is a disaster?
Presty On Tour Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Good job on the new store, looks the real deal from the photos. Will have to plan a road trip very soon to purchase some items, top of the list has to be the mini kit
Ricky Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Would all the free marketeers who trumpeted the Sportsworld abomination as being good for our club please now present the case for why the new clubshop is a disaster? I'm 99% certain we wont make as much money this way that's for sure. The sportsworld deal was financially good for us. It does feel good to have OUR shop back though.
T4E Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 There doesn't seem to be any pictures of Brad on any of the walls
Hughesy Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Ok I went down earlier. Must say, very impressed at 1st viewing. Mini kits - both home & away, car air fresheners in the club badge, scarves, hats, baby grows, blue & white pillows with the club badge on, mugs, dvds, rovers blue paint. Many different polo tops with rovers badge on - both v neck, round neck and collar. Training tops, tracksuits, plain t-shirts with rovers emblem, babygrows (pink & blue), coats. Many people knocking around - spent money far too easily ha! Also spoke to the manager of the shop. Much more stuff coming out in the next few weeks - concentrating on the clothing & accessories range 1st. Bigger things like decanters, glasses etc to follow in a few months. Also told me about the Umbro kits delay. Problem was with the manufacture. Umbro ordered the kits well in advance, rovers believed everything was good - the firm in china laid a load of staff off, because they lost out on expected income from kit making for england for Euro 2008. They kept telling umbro eveything was ok, until about 8 days ago when they finally admitted they would be late. So dont blame Rovers, you cant even blame rovers, blame the Chinese factory that messed the order up!
Tris Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 ...because they lost out on expected income from kit making for england for Euro 2008 ... So dont blame Rovers, you cant even blame rovers, blame the Chinese factory that messed the order up! I blame Steve McLaren. Thank goodness he didn't get the Rovers job, he'd be in more trouble than Ince!!

modes98 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I think the majority of stuff is yet to come, so you'l probably be better of asking this question later in the year.
Rovers in America Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Online store is still not working, so that's what i'm going to harp on as being an abomination since I'm a little far to visit the shop itself.
RevidgeBlue Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 The new shop looks superb - good job to all involved. The product range is currently very basic, but I'm sure that will quickly change as new products are unrolled. Finally got a home mini kit for the car - very classy - exact replica made of cloth - used to be a blue and white blob of cardboard last time I had one! Will probably get an away one as well later in the week, (even though I don't like the strip itself)

Yeah. I thought the Saturday launch on the onerovers.co.uk website specifically referred to the online store. :S How wrong I was.
CaliRoverNYC Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Those blue white and red bar scarves are class... I need one of those, so if they aren't available on the online shop, I'll be very disappointed.
American Rover12 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Im honestly going to be dead broke when they get the online shop up and running. Can't say I'm dreading it though.
Flopsy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Will probably get an away one as well later in the week, (even though I don't like the strip itself) you're such a corporate whore As the online shop is currently not working, disgrace, joke, club always so rubbish blah blah blah blah etc etc Could anyone get me the price for the baby grow's please? And what sizes, I need to start the indoctrination from birth, considering the main club around here is Villa, and plays in claret and blue - -
Hughesy Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Think the baby grows are £9.99. Club shop manager said they will be getting alot more stuff over the next few weeks but we have to be patient. Dont forget they have turned round the shop in 4 weeks. That includes a design, a refurb and then stocking it.

CornishRover Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 A fair bit like that, just bigger. Bleddy Hell! It looks like a very bad 1980's boiler suit and T shirt combo The red and black halves knock it into a cocked hat.
