I WAITED FOR THE EXIT DOOR TO OPEN AND WAS RUDELY GREETED BY A LADY WHO TOLD ME SORRY THEY WERE SHUT I SAID"SHUT ??THE SIGN SAYS CLOSES AT 5?",I WAS THEN TOLD THAT IT WAS TOO BUSY INSIDE TO LET ANYONE ELSE IN.I SAID IT WAS DISGUSTING THAT THEY WOULDNT LET US IN AND WAS THEN RUDLY TOLD THAT IT WAS MY OWN FAULT THAT I WAS DAFT ENOUGH TO TRY AND GO IN AT THAT TIME.I TOLD HER THAT AS I HAVE NY BOYS EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND I WAS OUT ON SATURDAY AND THIS WAS MY ONLY CHANCE FOR A FORTNIGHT TO GET HIM ONE TO WHICH SHE REPLIED IT WAS TOUGH !!!!!!!

I WENT TO THE TICKET OFFICE FOR A CONTACT TO COMPLAIN IN WHICH TIME THERE WERE 22 YES 22 PEOPLE TURNED AWAY!!!!!!!!! 22 X SHIRT PRICE = £££££££££

I THEN WENT BACK TO GET HER NAME AND SHE REFUSEED AND SAID I CALLED HER A COW!!!!! I 100% DID NOT AND SAID SHE SHOULD APOLIGISE BUT SHE REFUSED( I SAID THE SHOP WAS ###### WHICH IT IS!!).

I THEN CHATTED TO A FEW PEOPLE WHO I KNEW AND SOME HAD COME FROM CLITHEROE AFTER WORK((WORK PAYS FOR SEASON TICKETS IF WE DONT WORK WE CANT PAY FOR TICKETS CAN WE) ONE HAD BOUGHT A SHIRT ON THURSDAY AND WASHED IT AND WAS RUINED ,HE WAS TOLD HE SHOULDNT WASH IT!!!!!!!!!!

ANOTHER CAME FROM LEYLAND AND HE COULD GET ANY NAMES PRINTED AS THEY STOPPED PRINTING @ 4.30!!!!!!!

ITS A SHAMBLES THAT THESE BUFFONS ARE ALLOWED TO SELL ROVERS GEAR @ EWOOD AND ROVERS WOULD BE BETTER WITH A CARAVAN SELLING KNOCK OFF GEAR FROM SCOUSERS OR MANCS!!!!!!

AH WELL HE BOUGHT A DS GAME WITH HIS BIRTHDAY MONEY AND NOT A SHIRT.....

A PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB WITH A PUB CLUB SHOP .....ROVERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!!!!

surely a multi million pound company like rovers should be able to tell the shop to open for a couple of extra hours on the release in mid season of a new shirt. In my work if we have to work late or at night or weekends we supply the people to do it.Its like been said earlier the dvd is an embarssing state of play for the powers that be.

i think we should run a poll on what the fans think....

1.sell shirts from a paste table nr j.walkers statue.

2.burn the shop down

3.sack everyone inside and get rovers in charge and sell things rovers and for rovers people.

its two days since and i thought i would of calmed down but i aint.

Sadly the attitude of the staff is quite possibly the one thing that will not change WHEN Rovers get the club shop back. The 'management' of the shop was the same when it was Rovers. They had attitude problems then, and still do everything in their power to drive away custom.

this is a Club"On-line" shop's great service story...

around 2 seasons ago, I orderd only "4" item. I've got my order 3days later order it. really speedy!

but, I was very surprised I opened the package.

"3" item and Broken hanger and capless pen inside.

......... I claimed, then I got my order item. That's a really bother....

Together with Ken Beamish (supposed 'Commercial Manager') man handling and being rude to little girls queuing for the shirt signing, it seems that the commercial side of The Club now view the increase in season ticket sales this year as an opportunity to lose a few fans.

(.....and, sadly, I think they are likely to be successful with it too. Inviting people to an event and then basically telling them they aren't wanted when they turn up, isn't a very good image for The Club to project, I feel).

I can probably guess which of the Sales "Assistants" was working the door, too. I've been turned away previously with about 15mins to go after travelling over. It appeared that she didn't want to keep her lift waiting.

I discussed this subject this week with a work colleague & fellow Roverite :brfc:

& came up with the idea of opening an independant supporters shop, selling stuff like car stickers, blue & white scarves, pendants, retro shirts, old programs, Tugay t-shirts, balloons , flags, paintings etc....general collectors stuff.

Infact the idea of having a shop that`ll sell memorabelia (sp?) & things supporters make (t-shirts, paintings etc...) i think could be really good :tu:

Only a few weeks back a shop opposite Ewood Park was available.....& it did cross my mind.

Who was overheard complaining to 3 other members of staff how ridiculous it was that many people had turned up "we told the players they'd only need to be here for an hour - this is outrageous"

Well done Beamo, public perception through the roof with that one.

Beamish should be repremanded for that - what a complete and utter knob.

Why advertise a kit launch with players there if you don't want people to turn up, it was bound to attract the youngsters!

I'm glad my association with the club is to buy my season ticket and go to the game and none of this crappy club shop service or having to witness or experience such things that Cletus and Stuwilky have.

Cletus - Let it cross your mind again.

I think you could rustle up huge support for an independant 'club shop' - even with the backing of the club - from all the disgruntled Rovers fans who just want to be able to SPEND MONEY on the team they love.

Go on, give it a go - it will be a huge success.

The organisation on Thursday was at best amateurish "come on down bring the kids" they said.So i finished work at 2pm got home, showered and changed, picked the kids up and was at Ewood for 2.50pm.Place is buzzing. So i looked at the long queue and thought oh well i will get the tickets for uefa cup games, also my lad wanted a new kit bag for p.e for school.By the time i had finished it was around 3.20pm.Got outside the queue was half the size i thought `great i`ll get in now` .I was just about to join the queue when a club official said they were stopping the queues! I couldn`t believe it, i was absolutely ripping! In 30 years of supporting the club i had never seen Rovers have a day like this where you could meet the players, and they screwed it up big time, my kids were so upset because they were excited at wanting to see the players ,only to be told they couldn`t!

Days like this could have convinced kids that might not have been bothered about supporting rovers (but went anyway because their mates went etc.) into thinking how cool Rovers were in letting fans meet the players etc.and possibly drum up some extra supporters they otherwise wouldn`t have.

Only Rovers could make what should have been a positive P.R excercise have the opposite effect!

P.S its sunday and my kids are still pi*sed off about it!

Well that just about puts the f'kin cherry on top for me...absolutely unbelievable attitude,no excuses Beamish!.

I'm afraid to say matters off the field of play are completely rank amateurish at best.Like Ben-2000 I have refused to go anywhere near the joke they call a 'club shop' in recent years as there was nothing worth buying...if I was met with that sort of off- hand attitude I'd hate to say what my reaction would be.

I must admit to being sorely tempted to really start doing shirts and whatnot, the issue being one of both copyright, and image rights.

And sadly I dont profess to knowing enough about that to want to bite the bullet so to speak.

Mini kits are a definite goer though, even without the club badge the blue and white halves signify something.

From the supplier I sourced they would retail at £3 including postage and packing.

I trust you have all complained to the club itself?

repeatedly.

I would complain to the club if they had been in a coma for the last 3/4 years. Frankly if they don't know now that the shop is a disgrace they never will do. All they need to do is go in and have a look around. But then of course it has nothing to do with BRFC has it? It's run and owned by Sports World. The fact that it resides 20 yards from the Blackburn End is just a coincience.

Having said that you can see why some people foolishly associate a shop 20 yards from the ticket office with BRFC and presume it will stock a plethora of BRFC merchandise. Now that would be strange. They'd probably sell a lot more if that was the case - but then they'd be a lot busier. The perception is that they could probably do without all that.

Anyway, I'm sure I read on here from someone on the Fans Forum that steps are at an advanced stage to get out of the contract.

Stu - at £3, I will have four off you immediately, and point everyone I know in your direction to buy one. Do you think there would be club copyright issues? I remember Waggys UEFA badges - no problem there if I remember.

I am sure that sales could be drummed up here no problem, and that would reduce the risk for you as I assume there are set up costs and minimum quantities?

Good luck

When it opened under Rovers control, there was even exclusive stuff on sale designed by Wayne Hemingway.

Why did Rovers relinquish control of an asset in such a prominent position?

Beamo could always go back to wheeling out the tombola drum at half-time, he seemed to have the knack of doing that.
