nonaynevernomore Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Morten Gamst Pedersen really wound me up today. He seems to hide when the going gets tough. What are your thoughts? H escores some very important goals but he needs to contribute more to the team.

benhben Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Dear me give him a break!!! Hes either world class or getting slated!
S15 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Already a MGP thread. This one will probably find itself hiding in there before long.
nonaynevernomore Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Nobody gives Bert a break but thats fine. Emerton didnt hide tonight and I was pleased with him.
N8 ORTS Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 What a load of rubbish, in a crowded midfield he done all he could. You can't ask too much of him, remember how he was playing last season, he's only going to get better. Take note, only Lampard has scored more goals from midfield in the Prem this season!!
key76 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 absolute rubbish thread, he was over-whelmed in an almost 11 man midfield scrap today. some people don't know when we have something good!
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 He doesn't actually hide he just waits for somebody else to go and get him the ball, if that doesn't happen he's totally out of the game. There are the players who get you on top and there are the players who murder the opposition when the other guys have got you on top, guess which group he belongs to ?
Oklahoma Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I haven't seen most of rovers games (unfortunately) but rovers fans are worrying. For some strange reason, most of the fans always expect rovers players to be the best in the world in ALL GAMES!!! Which player have you seen that performs at 100% in every game? Give MGP and all other players a break! They are not gods!
Wolverine Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 for gods sake. we lost to united - so what? they are one of the uks big tems... why blame morten? blame bad luck if anything.
nonaynevernomore Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 I didnt blame him at all. Its just recently started to annoy me and I know im not the only one. he is a great player but at times I think he could really express himself ( he has the talent) but instead he can be non existent. Im a big fan of his but I think he has the ability to help other members of the team more by getting involved. Im not the only one on this site who has said he sometimes hides when the going gets tough. It has come up a lot recently. Moreover, in the newcastle match apparently he was non existenet apart from the goal. Anyway, theres no need to bite my head off YOUR MEANT TO VOICE YOUR OPINION plus I did say it straight after the match so I was still dejected.

H escores some very important goals but he needs to contribute more to the team. 378118 I thought Morten was one of the best out field players last night. He was the only player which attacked the opposition.
EIEIEIO Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 No problems with MGP's performance last night in my opinion. Don't think his a winger though. Think he did better up front than down the wing but lots of effort and grit shown. Proud of him as I am the whole team.
AndyH16 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Funnily enough something I said to my mate at the start of the Man U game last night was as soon as Pedersen takes a big knock he'll disappear in the game. Sure enough he got hit by Van Der Saar and suddenly he was no longer getting decent crosses into the box (not counting corners), he just seemed to become another player on the pitch. I've noticed this in a few games, last 90 minutes I saw was the game against Bolton where the same happened. But, I don't know if that's just somehow coincidence. He's obviously one of our best players out there.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Anybody got a link to that gamst's goals video? Ive seen it on here before but cant find it in any thread! My mate wants a view thats all. Edit: Found it now
todd_could_take_tyson Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 he was awful tonight, Peter looks so much better, and is more involved and also doesnt go for personal glory from every corner! Sparky please drop him for the next game.
krislu Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I think MGP is feeling an injury, because he was very poor today. Peter looks like one for the future.
Shevchenko Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 I hope he was feeling an injury because he was pretty damn poor tonight. On the back of that performance he shouldn't be playing next week. Bentley or Sergio should be playing at the moment.
Tris Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 hmmm Injury? The fact is that we look a better team when he's not on the field at the moment - perhaps that's accentuated by the sharpness of Peter but MGP has certainly got to take some responsibility. If he started with getting the basics right (delivery from corners - one of the least challenging roles in football but one he's been getting all wrong for most of the season) maybe the rest of his game would improve too. Not sure Peter is ready to complete 90 minute shifts in the Premier League quite yet, but certainly he should be starting and MGP getting the 20 minute spell at the end from the bench.
herbergeehh Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 careful, cuicado will be coming to get you. 384379 It's CUIDADO! Get it right next time!

Even my wife, who takes next to no interest in the rovers, commented how poor he was tonight. Peter did enough for me to be earning a start.
todd_could_take_tyson Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 How many all around good games has MGP had this season? Not many is the answer. He flatters to decieve with his wonder goals, Peter offers so much more.
