Alan75 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Despite dominating play this evening Rovers reserves lost 1-0 to a questionable Manchester City goal, in front of a crowd of 347 at Christie Park Morecambe. City took the lead just before half time when the linesman ruled that the ball had crossed the line after it appeared that Rovers had cleared Sturridges header off the line. Rovers peppered the City goal for the remainder of the game, but City's keeper Mentel was in inspired form, making at least three top class saves, and when he was eventually beaten by Howarth, the woodwork came to his rescue. My Man of the Match. Keith Treacy.
