Read some of the saints stuff.... sounds like Williams second choice is Southhampton because his mum n' dad live on the Isle of Whyte

 Tedious link. He has a yorkshire terrier so he is interested in taking over leeds ;)

Reading the article following that report it's Rovers or nothing at this point in time.

I have been reading with interest in regard to the links between Southampton Football Club, and Dan Williams.

I would just like to say, that Dan Williams is a devout Blackburn Fan, he seems a genuine chap, and he has the money and vision to turn BRFC into a team challenging for European places year after year.

I would ignore the links to Southampton, strange as it may seem, but he also had calls about Sheff Utd, after the fans blocked the sell of them.

Im for one backing Dan Williams.

Onwards and Upwards!

Some strange goings on around Southampton messageboards at the moment.

Theres a poster "HelpMeRhonda" who has been posting on their threads seemingly masquerading as part of the Williams Consortium. The same user id has been registered here, and has tried to make some posts buf are obviously trolling (posts hidden as user on modwatch)

Somewhere amongst all this there may be some geniune info on either this or a soton board. I doubt it tho.

I think I understand why none of the parties involved wanted the information to come out as early as it did. If nothing else, all this stupid trolling makes him look bad and there will always be gullible people who'll believe it was him. God only knows what a search for his name will turn up in a months time.

Crickey, I cant contain my excitement!

Mediocrity and extinction - what a prospect!

Anyone who thinks DW can be viewed in the same light as Glaziers, Egghead and dodgiTIE is having a laugh.

We will be raped by these people.

Don't accept it!!!

Like he said.

Personally if Mr Williams and his business partners want Southampton I'd be perfectly happy if they went for it.

Things are spiralling out of control in my opinion. There's too many mad millionaires entering the premiership...I'd be worried if I was a fan of Citeh or Big Club. These guys have crazy written all over them....!

We'll have the Thai national team playing China before we know it in the FA Cup. Tis a farce....!!!!!

Well aslong as he helps us be more competetive in the league and transfer market than previous we cant complain.

Haha the new owner of City has to be the worst. Wanted for arrest in Thailand and is now making the club sign players specifically from Korea! Nutter.

Just be thankful we're not getting taken over by the man who has bought Big Club. This has to be a joke surely. Football is being destroyed by this foreign investment.

Eleven Chinamen?

I love the response from a Bluenose: "I suppose it could have been worse, we could have been bought out by a Scot!"

I haven't heard or read anything about that Korea thing, where did you see it?

Shinawatra isn't corrupt by the way, people just see the tabloid headings and assume the worst. His disagreement with the Thai authorities is more to do with Thai ethics than being crooked in any way. His actions wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in most countries.

Whether he is or isn't corrupt he has certainly carried out some things that would see you thrown out of office anywhere in the West. He pretty much has a total lack of respect for human rights and in my opinion that is a far more serious thing.

Xenophobia or sensible fears? Either way, it might well explain why Scudamore toadied up to West Ham's Eggert.

More of the same from the Guardian

Incidentally, with Man U having failed to refinance its debts and the existance of a huge overhang of corporate leveraged debt not finding a home (Cadbury unable to sell its drinks division at the moment, the sale of Chrysler and the sale of Boots in trouble and so on), the real money in the Dan Williams team are in the camp who in theory are the most squeezed at present.

If they don't already have a massive overhang of liquidity locked in long term with no home to go to (in other words they are atypical hedge fund managers and are not being paid to make their cash resources sweat like any other asset for relatively short term returns), I'd guess an investment profiling like Blackburn Rovers is rapidly dropping into the don't even think about it category in current circumstances.
