I think I remember reading the back end of an exchange on the official MB of Rovers in which a poster called Helpmerhonda got banned pretty sharpish.

Certainly rings no bells with me Phillip. People get banned for a reason, not a whim.

But no curry sauce?

Steady on you'll give SteB delusions of grandeur resulting in him thinking he's a comedian.

As I understand it, two posters in particular, and a Rupert Mini-Me from Southampton, would contend that the Dan Williams, who had been in negotiations with BRFC for months, is in fact a complete sham who was so amateurish as to be unmasked in 20 minutes by some Comic-Book Guy types on a Southampton website.

They would also contend that the same BRFC executives who have been thus hoodwinked for months are in fact the sharpest men running a football club in Britain today.

Confused? You should be!

But as these same sharp execs are the ones who didn't spot that a shop contracted to be run by Sports World would resemble, errrrr, a shop owned and run by Sports World, it is quite conceivable that they wouldn't spot the fact that our potential purchaser is, in fact, Krusty the Clown.

Philip,

It was us that banned HelpMeRhoda (well, put them on mod watch, but they haven't posted since), but we're 99% sure it's not the same one from the Southampton boards, but a copycat wind up merchant who'd be following the Southampton thread.

Sadly they haven't responded to my emails yet.

Just to add.

Its apparent that for some strange reason that Southampton fans are attempting to cause a bit of mayhem. Probably because they've had a few windup postings which appeared to have been (in their opinion) from Dan Williams team.

I would be very surprised at all if any of his team are posting anonymously on any internet site. I wouldnt be surprised if they've read a few sites mind.

Have I got to repeat that the Sunday Express paid £18,500 in damages and issued an apology?

I left The Inde because I wanted to.

Still waiting for the name of the Southampton sniper.

Here's the name of an Everton sniper.

Hoovers, a research firm in the US, lists Plainfield Asset Management's annual sales as $4,000,000. Now it doesn't say what their assets are, but really?

This is the firm that is Danny boy's backer?

Shouldn't a firm that is backing the purchase of of a Premiership side seem a bit more substantial?

By contrast, one of the owners who recently bought DC United for a mere $33M has these assets backing him:

- Victor MacFarlane, principal in MacFarlane Partners, which has $2.3 billion in investor equity and $9 billion in assets under management.

Certainly Rovers will cost much more. I'd think that the financial group reportedly behind it should be more impressive than Plainfield.

The address is fake though, well it looks it anyway, as it's in the middle of woodland.

Although the email address is his princetonglobal one.

I am very confused

There are some houses on this road though. One of them is right in the middle of the woodland.

It all seems a bit dodgy...in the words of Lou from Little Britain "I don't like it!"

I find the Williams take over scenario completely baffling.

On the one hand things couldn't look less promising if it was a New Jersey based Burnley fan perpetrating an elaborate hoax.

Believe it or not that is a thought that crossed my mind. Ruled it out due to the fact that a reasonable amount of intelligence would be required.

That aside, what an insanely fascinating thread. Speaks volumes for people and the way their minds work. I find myself disappointed and apalled yet at the same time riveted.

If I was ever nervous, which I was, about this take over I am now in the scared ######-less category. Really feeling now like I don't want this to happen.

This Southampton link, is it mere coincidence that Paul Allen rumours were connected with both us and St Mary's or was that a spin of of this Dan fella being in the USA and people jumping to conclusions

I said at the very beginning the nature of this fella's business worries me, that stance has not changed, in fact my worry is more profound. The owners of my company are in similar ventures, albeit with much more financial clout.

Daniel Williams profile on elite graduate jobs states:

"Williams made his start in the recruitment business at OxbridgeJobs.com"

yet

the website for oxbridge group states:

"OxbridgeGroup was established, initially as 'Oxbridgejobs' in 1999. We became OxbridgeGroup in 2001 following the acquisition of a large traditional recruitment consultancy. We are based in Covent Garden, in London. Our founder and Chief Executive is Andrew Williams"

Who is Daniel Williams???
