Think about it as an investment, we pay 4 and in one year we get 6 back.

Why oh why,

Do we always sell ourselves short in the transfer market? £6m was a pathetic transfer fee - bells was worth much more than that to Liverpool, and to us - they should have been made to pay £10m. Any offer OVER £6M ACTIVATED that so called CLAUSE.

I hate the transfer window as soon as we get a decent player gurantee bigger clubs rip us off. I am disgusted at Benitez. He will mess bells up nothing surer. I remember how he messed with Fowler till the very last minute. Bells will be more on the bench, sure as hell is on fire Benitez won't be happy with bells as his no1 striker for long - then we'll see the REAL bells emerge.

Anyway this has been a great read, my wish is for us to get sparkys Mido..whoooo... now theres a real hot head..lmaooooo

Mido:

Mido is a cool guy with a tremendous goalscoring record. He's probably the best Arabic player of all time. Southampton fans are out of order for chanting "shoe bomber" everytime he got the ball. Below is a report of what happened followed by an article about Mido. You should know that Mido he bought himself a Ferrari within five minutes of signing with Ajax last season and that he dumped Miss Belgium 2000 last year to marry his Egyptian ex-girlfriend.

Go get him sparky!

:)

Can everybody stop moaning about 'the clause'. I distinctly remember 'the clause' when he signed for us, I doubt we would have got him without it. He was joining a club which had just fought a relegation battle remember.

No players have loyalty these days execpt to their bank balance. At least he helped get us in the UEFA cup, but we got into 6th place largley without him (though he certainley helped us sustain it) and yes I'll be giving him a hard time we he returns to Ewood.

Can't we sign Nugent from Preston, it would wind my uncle up a treat.

Which is why it was set at £6m !!! Some of the money Liverpool "save" by paying less will go on bonuses here there and everywhere . Just be grateful we made a couple of mill out of it all and got a (hopefully) money making Euro run !

If you were Bellamy or his agent where would you like anything over 6 mill to go ? Yourself ...or to a club's coffers who he played for for less than a season ? I know what I'd do ....

good luck you were a good player for us you already turned down one champions league club to come to us but cant blame the man he has gone to a bigger club and one which he supports fer play to him i would of done same in his situation.

This is, more or less, the end of the world.

Bellamy was the difference between European football and back to the championship. If we don't find someone to replace him (no chance in hell), we'll be back to fighting for that 17th place next season.

This has ###### me off to no end

Can't believe there are so many people upset that Bellamy lied. I think he said the right thing at the right time, why rock the boat when we were in the middle of a push for Europe.

Of course we are all gutted to see him leave, but I think some people should wake up and realise that lies are part and parcel of football these days. It isn't right but it's fact.

No doubt the moronic element will be booing him when he returns on Boxing Day (if he isn't injured), I truly hope not because we should be grateful to see such quality players in a Rovers shirt no matter how short their stay.

No worries,

We'll be fine without bells. Mark Hughs never let us down yet - now is no different.

With Souey we almost left behind the premiur league, we were grateful to even stay up, now Europe is calling. I say lets show those 'big clubs' what Blackburn can do this time around.

Stay positive...we have some great players in the team...come on you blues...:lol:

We are an attractive proposition to a player looking to move clubs at the moment, we can offer Uefa Cup football, only 2 other teams at the moment can better that (Spuds/Whammers/Barcodes??? Intertoto) and only four can better us with the CL. We are also a club that was steadily progressing and have players that have committed their long term futures to the club ala Reid/Pedersen.

Lets be honest with ourselves guys, Bellers was too good a player for us and tbh we wouldn#t have even had a sniff of him if he hadn't had his problems with Sourpuss. We should thank him for his 17 goals last season and put all our trust and faith behind MH to bring in the right man to steady our Premiership position of last season. Its not the end of the world losing Bellers atm, its a big big loss, as the lad had so much pace and talent that he were a constant threat but we can get a good player in his place.

Thanks Craig for putting a smile back on my face last season when i were having some bad times, your performances led to wins for the club and as such made myself and many other fans happy.

I only wish i'd gotten a photo with you on the last day of the season when i were waiting for Paul outside the players entrance. :) ah well...nevermind.

<<BLOODY BREAKING NEWS>>

I have now done the math regarding the average points taken by Rovers (in the PL) when Bellamy was involved for 30min or more, and when he was not involved at all.

Here is the "shocking" conclusion!

Bellamy played 30min or more in 23 games, of which Rovers took an average of 1,57points a game!

Bellamy did not play at least 30min in 15 games, and in these games Rovers took an average of 1,8points a game!

With Bellamy 1,57 point a game

Without the little @#/?, 1,8 point a game

Now, the facts are on the table, no more "we will go down" rubbish!

He's gone, he did well for us but we all knew he saw us as a stepping stone. Thanks for the goals, no hard feelings and that's it.

Yes, he will be hard to replace but we have a savvy manager who has a habit of pulling aces out of his sleeve when he needs to. No doubt Hughes will have been watching the World Cup with great interest as he would have known that it was highly probable Bellamy would be leaving.

And while some more optimistic souls will dream of us signing Saviola et al (never in a million years), I am sure Hughes will be paying greater attention to potential stars from the less obvious teams.

As for Bellamy, I've no doubt he'll do well form Liverpool but he won't be the big fish in the small pond anymore and I suspect he will revert to the tantrum-prone gobsh1te he was at Newcastle. My money is on yet another court appearance stemming from another incident in another Cardiff nightclub before next season is over. Such as it was and so it will always be.

Not to mention the distinct lack of competition for a starting striker's role in the club right now....

We were merely a stepping stone for players like Bellamy and Duff. That's the way it will always be, sadly.

The best the club can do is get top players on long contracts which will mean that if they ever scale the heights to attract the attentions of the big guns we'll get a good price.

The flip side is, these supposed 'top players' or promising may get their lucrative and lengthy contracts but then fail to perform and the club are stuck with them until they can shift them out.

I don't agree we lump the 2 players together. It appears Bellamy's agent has been high lighting the clause;Duff was offered a doubling of his wages to go the richest club in the country and he still hesitated.

Did Duff have more loyalty because he wanted to stay in the North West and go to MU or Liverpool?

I don't know. Either way he probably had more loyalty to the club because he had been here longer and had come through the Youth system. In my opinion that is the only way to breed loyalty-it's a shame we have such apoor record in bringing through players in the last few years.

I dont know about you mate, i dont know how many games youve been to etc (btw not trying to hold it against you if you cant get to many) , but personally having travalled 1000's of miles and spend 1000s of £'s watching Rovers last season home and away, dont you feel that we are at least deserving of a bit of honesty?? He could have said 'no comment' to the infamous question in the let, or said any number of things, but to actually come out with a downright lie hurts, really fecking hurts.

I don't want to get into a debate as to who has travelled and paid most watching Rovers, but let's just say that you are out of your depth.

I think you need to learn to take anything said by footballers and agents with a pinch of salt.

Im angry at the club, the management, the board and Bellamy - Hughes and Williams speak all season of ambition and the possibility of bringing in a world class strike partner for Bellers... well let's see some f_ckin ambition then! Now Bellamy has gone. Well I tell you all I am glad I have not got a season ticket now because it would be money down the drain! We have little hope of building on last seasons success now. We've still not had any half decent links with any half decent players. Up front we're left with Kuqi, Gallagher, Johnson, Derbyshire - what are we doing in the UEFA Cup? Are we just there to make up the numbers?!
