Billinge End Blue Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Prematch, tension-alleviating pub crawl, with Outer Circle assistance and probably never to be repeated... Dog Inn, West View, Woodlands, Mill Hill, Navigation, (towpath) Watersedge, Fox n Hounds... postmatch (shorts involved), Brown Cow, White Bull, Moorgate, Mill Hill WMC, Stakes Hall...all with the thup thup thup of the police helicopter overhead... Say what you like about 'authentic derby rivals', particularly in this century, but it is always highly satisfying to beat the Clarets...
Gav Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Was sat in an internet cafe in Nerja, longest 90 minutes of my life and was thrown out for being to loud and the owner called the police...... Great night even though we were so far away, looking back I still can't believe we didn't cancel the holiday.
Dingle Basher Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 (edited) Awesome, 3 of us went drinking in Blackburn before the game and were sat in Gibbees sports bar (cafe stylo) when we saw a group of about 10 inbreds walking past king georges hall towards the Jubilee. Outside the Jubilee I think there was 3 or four riot vans who turned the b**t**ds away. We carried on drinking in town but after a while the pub we were in (FJ Nicols) closed and the police moved us on to the Jubilee. Inside it was packed and we were not allowed to leave untill the police ok'd it. We were told to go to the Sun (not the sort of place I would go normally or the jubilee to be honest) It was jammed pack in there and the police blocked the entrance with horses. Again we were not allowed to leave untill the police ok'd it. This time we were made to leave in groups of 5 but were herded into a convoy of Rovers fans surrounded by police and riot vans with the a helicopter spotlight shining down on us from above. I'd never been in anything like this before and it just added to the excitement and tension. After the Sun had emptied into the convoy we were escorted all the way to Ewood. Outside the moorings we were halted for what seemed like an eternity (needed the loo) apparently because the moorings was full of dingles. The game wasn't the best but the atmosphere was unbelievable and the home end of the ground was packed. When the 2nd goal went in the celebration was like nothing i'd ever experienced. We sat in the riverside stand next to the Darwen end. It rocked all the way through the game and had that much of an affect on us that we got our season tickets in the riverside the season after. When the 2nd goal went in the celebration was like nothing i'd ever experienced. Edited September 19, 2007 by Dingle Basher

Only at football would you be treated like that, its an absolute disgrace yet the police get away with it week after week all over the country.
CAPT KAYOS Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Outside the moorings we were halted for what seemed like an eternity (needed the loo) apparently because the moorings was full of dingles. There weren't no clarets in the Moorings - it was full of Rovers What had happened is just before the convoy of Rovers fans - a convoy of Burnleh had just been marched up and they where holding you back to keep 'the distance' between both sets of fans

bblue Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 MGP's goal was stunning, left the goalie clueless .. it was a sweet game indeed
revolutionrock! Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Was at school, (Please don't use that word again) me was i nervous. Sat in drama, at the back of the room with a Rovers mate, didnt say a word and was literrally shaking with being so nervous. My school is half and half with rovers and @#/?s, so if we'd have lost i would of got so much ######!! Got on the bus which has no dingles on , started No Nay Never up , the year 7's didnt have a clue  Then to the match, what a atmosphere, and like mentioned, when we scored the 2nd we just went berserk absouletley mental, i would love to have the CCTV footage of the whole stadium when that went in would be ace.
pksrover Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I would love to experience a proper Rovers - dingles derby sometime. Hopefully we'll get them in either of the domestic cups in next couple of years, preferably in the FA cup this season on our march to wembley
sambo Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I went, can't remember this, but were the BBE stood up all game?
sambo Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10413~29097,00.html Congratulations Burnley FC for the most bitter (and incorrect) match report ever.
