Roar of the Rover Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Lets see the game out now, if Villa fail to win later i think we're guaranteed a top 10 finish!
mark Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 He's still not working hard enough though. CHRIST ON A BIKE! how do you even know if you're not their? keeping our european ambitions alive not enough for you. ridiculous comment. he's scoring, plenty, enough said.
Dr Gonzo Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 CHRIST ON A BIKE! how do you even know if you're not their? keeping our european ambitions alive not enough for you. ridiculous comment. he's scoring, plenty, enough said. I think it was a joke...
Jimmy Jupiter Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 CHRIST ON A BIKE! how do you even know if you're not their? keeping our european ambitions alive not enough for you. ridiculous comment. he's scoring, plenty, enough said. Whoosh....

Crikey, guess irony is lost on you … I think he was been ironic/ sarcastic as there is so many people on this boards who stupidly overreact to Benni’s supposed lack of work rate.
Finch Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 great result that. That has to make a difference to the table with other results this afternoon.
yellowsubmarine Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 We will still be 10th, but things are getting very interesting for the chase to Europe! Watford has done us a HUGE favour!
OJRovers Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Not too much effect on the table, but all we can do is win our own games. Great result
herbergeehh Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 1. What a save by Samba, match winning. 2. Great play by Bentley for Roberts' goal. 3. Derbyshire disappointing when coming on. Great result !!
Mr. E Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 nice win. smile.gif Shame the season is ending, Roberts can't seem to stop scoring. we need to beat Spurs and Reading now though, so the hardest is still to come.
Finch Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 The most difficult game in our run in is yet to come - Spuds away. And I WILL BE THERE
Hughesy Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Ok we need Pompey to lose on the final day to Arsenal at least 2-0 Bolton to fail to win against villa and Us to win both games 2-0 or more. That way we jump above pompey, reading and bolton. Minimum of 7th Place!!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
OJRovers Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Sounds like Samba had a top game against Owen today. I don't think people outside Rovers are giving him enough credit for coming in as a young player from abroad and fitting in so well. He has been better than Nelsen in most games, I think he can only get better (lets hope he stays injury free next year)
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Well done the lads...we cant ask for anymore! Samba is turning into the find of the season in the Prem and Benni's fantastic 22 goals is a real achievement in his first season. Its all good folks!

Chimbonda was quite outstanding when he was at Wigan last season. The next season, Spuds snapped him up.

I don't think people outside Rovers are giving him enough credit for coming in as a young player from abroad and fitting in so well. Maybe just as well. High profile players tend to get the attention of bigger teams and we then end up losing them.
grizfoot Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Sounded like a brilliant performance from Samba and a 70 yard dribble from Bentley for the second goal. 7th is still a possibilty!
Rob of the Rovers Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Having been a student up in Newcastle, beating the barcodes is almost as important to me as winning against Man U and Bolton, so I'm a happy man tonight Regardless of whether we make the UEFA or Intertoto, I think we have a lot to look forward to with a fully fit squad next season.
frosty Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Top result today, well done to our strike force and Samba, sounded like great defending to stop Owen from scoring.
