RevidgeBlue Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Excellent first half from us in terms of all round play and possession, but reminded me a bit of the first half v Charlton in that we were very wasteful with our final ball and had a tendancy to try and hit one pass too many at times. Fantastic goal, wonderful cross from MGP and finish from Benni. Same again second half lads! Typical Sky commentary - because Spurs weren't 4-0 up after half an hour, it was a drab game according to them. Ho hum off to the pub to watch the second half. Tough old life. Maybe my "drinking buddy" will be there.

LeChuck Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Rev, it wasn't a penalty (wasn't a free kick either, but keepers being over protected isn't unusual) and it is a dull game. Hopefully it will stay dull though as this would be a great result. The cross by Pedersen was superb and McCarthy never misses those.
Mike Graham Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 half time on Radio 5 and the tosser says firstly it is one nil to Middlesboro at Spurs and then that Benni Mac was yet again the Boro scorer....are they bonkers?
Finch Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 half time. 1-0 not bad so far. Samba and Nelson have done well MGP has been brilliant. The stewarding has been a little over done in our end though.
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 If that was a yellow for MGP I'm the queen of wales. Ref is a shame for his sort.
ABBEY Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 nob piles is losing the game...axe lucky not to get 2 yellows and then mgp gets yellow and a free kick given for kicking the ball ..is tackling and ball contact not allowed no more?
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 No. Drama. Come on. Someone. Just anyone. Score that Rovers-goal.
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Really questioning myself which of those teams played 3 matches in the last 5 days. Still, I have faith in a shock Bentley-winner. We deserve that, only for once.
ABBEY Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 prick commentator....keane was a post width off a winner......PILLLOCK SO WAS SAMBA. ROBERTS HARSH.
krislu Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Somebody better fine Roberts. What a fool ! You're a fool! It was NEVER a yellow card, the second yellow was just the ref being a complete idiot!
Guest shoppybrfc Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 At least Roberts misses the next match! He's been awful all game, terrible terrible control, he's skill and technique remind me so much of Kuqi.
Mr. E Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 well, it's over. and, as always, the referee can go f*** himself.
Exiled_Rover Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Common sense - lost on Premiership officials. Never a booking in the first place, a ridiculous second for the red. Idiots. Good result, if you take it out of context. You'd take a draw at White Hart Lane everytime.
cn174 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Fair result I guess. We had the better of the first half and they had the better of the second. Got back into it a bit when Derbyshire came on but didn't get enough decent chances after that. Intertoto it is then!!
ABBEY Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Somebody better fine Roberts. What a fool ! IMAGINE A UTD,CHELSEA ,ARSE OR LIVERPOOL GETTING SENT OFF FOR THE SAME?? THEY WOULDNT GET ONE YELLOW...ROOONEY CALLS REFS EFFING THIS EFFING THAT SPITS AND STILL GETS AWAY WITH IT.
modes98 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 We're playing 12 again, we're playing 12 again, we're playing 12 again! Ref was a disgrace, he broke up at least 5 rovers moves on the edge of their box by getting in the way. Decent enough first half display, then matched by the awful defending in the second and the lack of energy thrown into the last 30mins. Roberts left alot to be desired but the sending off was a joke, performances of note: Brett, MGP, Benni, Warnock and Tugay.
Roost Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Bentley VERY poor in the first half and didnt break sweat in the second. Any ideas what this means for the INTERTOENAIL shinnanigins
Guest Kamy100 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Great effort by the lads but I guess in the end a draw was a fair result. The two big chances for me were when Bentley failed to pass to McCarthy in the first half when he was completely clear and of course the Samba header. Still proud of the lads and I guess the Intertoto it is then.
