rover_groo Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 But I'm sure the Norwegians valiantly held on and were tough in defending the trophy!! I think you should take that comment with a pinch of salt American, lol. The competition had a slow start, but Torrents (local band) won it outright. In Liverpool airport and will update all later. Again thanks for all the support.
ni_rover Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 The draw was messed up. I played in the weakened Northern Ireland B team which included a 10yr old and 2 hungover people. We played Radio Lancashire twice for some reason and were beaten 5-1 both times. Disgraceful!!!

Lee Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 OFFICIAL RESULTS AND STANDINGS FROM THE COMPETITION AFCD (1) vs (2) The Torrents It was 0-0 actually, we lost on penalties, but claimed the morale victory I was also told by Nige that the final score in the final was 5-3.
rover_groo Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 It was 0-0 actually, we lost on penalties, but claimed the morale victory I was also told by Nige that the final score in the final was 5-3. You always have to twist Lee. I remember speaking to you after the quarter-final and thought you said you lost on pens, but tried to run this across Nidge but never got him last night. The referee and Dave Pilkington, both informed me that the score was 4-3 in the final. Yet again we've failed to be drawn together in a group, but maybe we can get a chance in the future.
Macky Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Sorry groo, i'd have been there but still up at uni. Maybe you can get my Dad to play. My money is on the Torrents! Told you!
