The competition had a slow start, but Torrents (local band) won it outright.

The draw was messed up. I played in the weakened Northern Ireland B team which included a 10yr old and 2 hungover people. We played Radio Lancashire twice for some reason and were beaten 5-1 both times. Disgraceful!!!

Congratulations to The Torrents, (local band in Blackburn) on their recent succes in lifting the trophy for the first time in their history in an emphatic final. A presentation and light buffet took place at the JJB Soccerdome bar afterwards, with Mitchell Sheridan and Ken Beamish doing the honours.

Despite the initial delay, the competition kick-started with the group stages and a draw was made for the quarter-final stages. It was a big success especially raising a considerable amount of money for Scope and it couldn't have been achieved without all your support and assistance.

A big thanks to Blackburn Rovers and in particular to Ken Beamish & Keeley Barker, the JJB Soccerdome and it's staff, all teams that took place, the spectators, Scope, Mitchell Sheridan for his presentation and finally to everyone who donated some money.

There will be an official report on the event shortly and if anyone wants to get a picture of their team, then please PM me and I'll email it across. Thanks once again to everyone involved.

I remember speaking to you after the quarter-final and thought you said you lost on pens, but tried to run this across Nidge but never got him last night.

The referee and Dave Pilkington, both informed me that the score was 4-3 in the final.

Yet again we've failed to be drawn together in a group, but maybe we can get a chance in the future.
