Apparently fabric conditioner also make the logo's come off. Just use powder not fabric softener.

It's amamzing what you learn isn't it?

Its odd this, my shirts are all washed at 40 degrees with fabric conditioner, and the logos havnt come off.

Although what a bizarre thing to be discussing.

will the deal with sportsworld come to an end now too?

i sincerely hope it does at that place (especially the online store) was a complete and utter joke!

interestigly the online store is now closed due to 'site maintainence'...is this an indication?

BRING BACK A ROVERS-RUN STORE!

BRING BACK A ROVERS-RUN STORE!

i have fond memories of three old club shops.......one in the old nuttal street stand (if im not mistaken), the one that was like a mobile home on nuttal street.....and the one in the blackburn end.............the new rovers 'shop' is a bloody disgrace

I have the last Euro (kappa) shirt which features the sponsor within the shirt itself... seems the best way to avoid peel, no? Love that shirt, just noticed that Shorty's name and number are starting to crack a bit... not bad after 4 years of serious wear.

I also got the last Kappa away kit (HSA) and noticed that once the patch started to peel, there was another one just like it beneath it... did I win some sort of award?

- <_<

Anyway, I'm loving both new kits and the club's attitude to the general outcry for the black/red away kit... only took two seasons, but I think it's brillant, Rovers are a rare breed indeed.

Makes me proud to be a Rover ! Can't wait to purchase these shirts, might have to make a

special trip across the pond to save some shipping fees

I think the text style is set by the Premier League (and I guess by UEFA for the Euro one).

For european games the brand has its own style of numbering that will be umbros, so all adidas kits will have similair styles and the same for nike etc.

And thanks everyone for the handy washing tips!!! but I honestly tried everything, even cold hand washing!! but i guess im just unlucky with sponsors!!!

Id love rovers to have a proper shop again, who remembers inside the blackburn end the floor looked like the 18 yard box markings or the giant wooden rovers crests in Rover the moon (Class Name)

lucky, skip, lucky. I wish that bloody horrible bet24 logo would fall off :( 40, 60, 80, 95 degrees, fabric softener and no fabric softener and machine dried. Not a bloody dent on it!

So tell me...I will finally (trip got canceled last year due to the attempted liquid bombs on planes plot) be in England and at Ewood on the 18th. Yet I have this three year old Rover's kit with Nelsen on the back. Am I going to be terribly embarrassed by wearing it?

While I'm at it, I'd like to join the supporters section. How is the best way to get a ticket to that stand? I'm assuming that, being the opener, I had best act now rather than trying to do a walk-up on the evening of the match.

And a third question...are cameras allowed in the stands? If so, are any types prohibited. I know that, for instance, I can't bring a camera with detachable lenses into DC United's home stadium. Are there similar rules at Ewood?

Oh, and what's a good pub to visit pre-game?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks...

Seahawk, there is no fashion police at Ewood. I have a replica 1975 shirt!

You will want a ticket for the Blackburn End lower. As close to the back and middle as possible. Should be no problem depending on the game and I am not aware of any camera restrictions.

Pubs near the ground would be The Acquaduct, The Fox and Hounds, The Brown Cow or Uncle Jacks. Alternatively the centre of town is a shortish bus ride away.

Have a good trip!

No mate, your three year old kit will be fine and I guarantee that not one person will comment on it.

Two weeks before a game tickets for a match will go on sale. Click here for more info closer to the time

You can take a camera into the stands and take pictures before the game and after. Last season I was told off by a steward for using my camera during a game. I explained to the steward that it was digital and I was recording a vid with it and not using a flash. He said it didnt matter and I had to put it away. To be fair I think that the steward was just picking on me because he also told me to sit down when Ped scored who was running over to where I was stood (the goal was scored with the last kick of the game against sheff utd - as if I am not going to jump up)

Pub pre game. Well, I normally get some dinner in the postal order in town first then jump in a taxi to the aquaduct (sometimes the mourings first) the taxi will know where these are

Good luck and enjoy your game mate

With the changing kit makers, does this mean that Sports world have also been dropped as our only retailers? Will the shirt be on sale in more sports shops around the country or still in in just the small few shops near Blackburn?

Even before Sports World took over I couldnt get a Rovers shirt in the Isle of Man. I went into the sports shop here and asked him if they were getting it in and the cheeky git just laughed at me - now thats customer service for you.

Im fairly sure that we have already established that the second part of this comment you keep making is factually untrue.

But you keep banging that stuck record.

Im hoping that now we with Umbro we will be available in more places, I know that in my local JJB's Preston and Chorley, they have umbro sections, so a rovers lonsdale shirt even though we are like 10 mins drive from both places is a no, but you can quite happily buy an everton shirt (or sweden for that matter!!)
