  1. 1. Have your say on the summer transfer window.

    • Should have had more cash to spend. Almost everyone else did.

The first thing he SHOULD be doing is shooting/strangling a few agents!! ;)

Don't see why - we're in no position to sell these players that they're pimping around. We hold all the cards, so to speak, and will be handsomely rewarded if they do leave.

As for our transfer targets, the way Hughes and his staff have done business over the last two years has me extremely confident that they're going to improve the squad over the summer.

It is still very early days and there are many international games still going on. It is difficult I know but you should try and not read too much into the paper gossip!

Unfortunately John that paper talk of recent has sadly come to fruition regarding our best players like Bellamy etc...no smoke without fire and all that!

SSN just reporting Joey Barton will move to Newcastle tomorrow (pending completion of Scott Parker's move to West Ham).

Parker is twice the player Barton will ever be, I find that a very strange beginning to Allardyce's Newcastle career.

Barton will improve under Sam. Allardyce obviously thinks he can handle him, and he has proved at Bolton that he has good man-management skills. Sometimes you have to take a risk.

I don't think there is much between the two players.

I reckon Bartons just got that attacking edge over Parker

I disagree, I think that Parker has stagnated horribly in the last coupla years, by all accounts he has been awful at Newcastle in the last couple of months. Barton on the other hand has shone in 1 of the worst city teams ever and seems to be improving all the time. Considering barton is coming in for cheaper then parker is going for, i think its good business from Sam

With regards to Rovers, im happy for us to play it cool and do our work privatly, instead of these showboat clubs like west ham and newcastle who have to everything in public. No dignaty :brfc:

Who can play well for Newcastle though, really? Don't know how, don't know why, but they always manage to destroy quality up there. Makes me think there might be an internal problem in the club rather than just bad luck and wrong players with too much money.

Cant find an online link but read in the 'Express delivery' section of The Sunday Express today that Craig Bellamy will not be going back to blackburn as he will not be welcome by some of his team mates. It goes on to say that they remember the way he used to refer to the ribble valley as emerdale!!!

Probably just filling up paper space but i've wondered why Robbie Savage hasn't spoken up about how much craig would be welcome back as he seems to have something to say on most matters!!! ....I expect to hear from rob soon!?!

I can tell you now that Rovers have had 5 offers for Franny Jeffers and have rejected them all as of yet.

I have been told that he favours a stay at Rovers and that Big City FC have he most attractive offer on the table as of yesterday. Rovers have not given anyone the go ahead to speak to him and it would appear the three clubs in the favourites positions are Derby, brum and ipswich.

His nephew is dating my daughter and his brother has just had a few beers with me in the club !
