  1. 1. Have your say on the summer transfer window.

    • Should have had more cash to spend. Almost everyone else did.

Only Bellamy of those IMO. And we should go for Alan Smith. £3.5 is a good deal. Hate him now, but I think we would love him if he played for us.

Wow! Snap him up! Three pounds, fifty is a fantastic price for a current England international. Plus if he doesn't fit in here we could easily sell him on for over £50. Go for it Sparky!! ;)

Rovers were linked with two portuguese players.

Both would be great for Rovers but both are too expensive.

Benfica called back Manuel Fernandes and, unless a big offer comes along, he is part of next year team. As a Benfica supporter, it's great news. If He leaves, I hope it is for Rovers.

Miguel Veloso is another great prospect that recently signed an extension with his team, Sporting Lisbon. Don't think that the release clause is that big but it is very expensive anyway.

Another English club interested in Nonda say's his agent. Yeah right

http://www.football.co.uk/blackburn_rovers...le_248259.shtml

........"Nonda said to me (agent) that his first year in England was not that good. It was not the real Nonda in his first season - there was a new language and a new way of preparing for the game. For example in Italy or France you go to a hotel two or three days before the game, but in England you sometimes head to the ground as little as three hours before the match."

Nothing to stop him checking in at the Fernhurst Wed night onward is there?

Henry story has been confirmed - £16 million fee (I think), which is an ok deal for Arsenal because he has spent a lot of time on the sidelines the last two seasons. He is not going to get quicker with age as well.

I think Nonda will improve season and get goals but I feel we can do better. He looked too hesitant at times and I am not sure about his finishing.

Good to see us linked with some players today, crazy prices though for both the Portugese players (and we have not even been taken over yet!).

Depends almost entirely on how long was left to run on his contract.

3 years.

While you have to say while henry is, along with shearer, the best player to grace the premiership that he is now 29 and obviously running into fitness difficulties. £24 million is a very good price, 16 certainly acceptable. What is more worrying for Arsenal is that the system is falling apart. I can't see Wenger staying beyond next season and the club is shaped around him far more than any other manager, even Ferguson at Utd. It would be very hard for the Gunners to find a manager who will be able to slot in if the Frenchman goes.

Arsenal to be the first top four team to tumble out of the CL places?

Its £16m - €24m.

To put that in perspective, it is -

£15m less than Man United paid for Rio Ferdinand

£1m less than the asking price for Darren Bent

£3m less than Chelsea spent on Ricardo Carvalho

£5m less than Chelsea spent on Shaun Wright Phillips

The same amount that Chelsea paid Man United for Jon Obi Mikel

£2.6m less than Man United paid for Michael Carrick

£14m less than Chelsea paid for Andriy Shevchenko

There's more to this than meets the eye.

Henry out the door and Wenger soon to follow. The end of Arsenal as a major force?

With the massive debt from the stadium it's difficult to see them spending large amounts in the near future. Interesting times ahead.

McCarthy is no replacement for Henry. They're totally different players and not in the same class. I doubt highly that Wenger will be contacting us any time soon.

Unless Arsenal act fast and bring in a world class forward, then I can see Wenger, Fabregas and Gallas all looking to leave the club. And what's the bet that Fabregas comes out in the papers running his mouth off as per usual? I actually think that Arsenal now need two world class strikers to have any hope of winning the Premiership, but that just isn't going to happen. I would like as much competition at the top of the league, and it saddens me to see such a great team fading away.

A big error in judgement from Arsenal in my opinion. The continual failure to invest in key areas of the team has now, ironically, cost the club its greatest ever player. I'm genuinely sad to see a magnificent footballer like Henry leave the league-he was undoubtedly the only player (other than any playing at Rovers) that I would pay to watch.

IF that deal has gone through then Rovers can expect mr wenger to come knocking on our door for Benni Mac.

Can't see it. Wenger doesn't sign 29 year olds.

I know Arsenal fans will be in despair but they have had the best years out of Henry. It will be interesting to see who they go for now. Michael Owen?
