philipl Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 The Observer's overview of the transfer window. Not even mentioning Bellamy suggests they have not bothered themselves over much thinking/researching the Rovers.

vyeo Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 "Curbishley aims to follow up his capture by swapping Yossi Benayoun for Liveprool's Craig Bellamy plus cash, while Marlon Harewood, Nigel Reo-Coker and Paul Konchesky head a list of players on their way out of Upton Park" - quote taken from News of the World at http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/story_page...rt/sport3.shtml This is simply ridiculous. They must be having a laugh if they think Benayoun is worth cash PLUS bellamy!
brfc fan Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 The Observer's overview of the transfer window. Not even mentioning Bellamy suggests they have not bothered themselves over much thinking/researching the Rovers. I think they're wrong about Benni as well.
frosty Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 No real gossip on that article, but NOTW says us and Fulham are chasing Espanyol defender Juan Velasco, 30.
tcj_jones Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I didn't realise that Arsenal had bought Luis Fabianski? For a minute, I thought it said Luis Fabiano! Anybody know anything about this Fabianski guy? Also, if Newcastle get half of the players they're linked with, they could be a real force next season.
thenodrog Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 The Observer's overview of the transfer window. Not even mentioning Bellamy suggests they have not bothered themselves over much thinking/researching the Rovers. It mentions him briefly in the Lpool gossip.

rog of the rovers Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Now that Thierry is at Barca, someone has to leave, it has to be Gudjohnsen. I would'nt mind him as he's proven himself in the Premiership. Valdes Thuram Puyol Marquez van Bronckhorst Xavi Deco Motta Messi Henry Ronaldinho Bench: Eto'o, Gudjohnsen, Zambrotta, Edmilson, Iniesta, Beletti, Jorquera Not a bad line up

Exiled_Rover Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Still quite weak at the back. Was just about to say, if you're playing Football Manager like the big clubs seem to, you'd think they'd have a better defence than that.
JamieUK Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I've read this week that they're bringing in Cristian Chivu from Roma. Edit: It's on Sky Sports... http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...rca+chase+Chivu
RevidgeBlue Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 According to the NOTW a 25m Liverpool swoop for Torres will happen on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. (Which would of course make Bellamy even more surplus to requirements)

(Which would of course make Bellamy even more surplus to requirements) Bellaz is definately leaving the Reds. We just have to hope he and Liverpool chose us as his next stop.
John Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 You would think through our connections (Hughes, coaching staff & Savage), that we would know already if Bellars is keen on coming back.
Fife Rover Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 You would think through our connections (Hughes, coaching staff & Savage), that we would know already if Bellars is keen on coming back. We probably do, but that kind of info will still be classified "Most Secret".
LeftWinger Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Celtic Signing? This is without doubt the best name of any footballer I've ever heard!!!
AggyBlue Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Celtic Signing? This is without doubt the best name of any footballer I've ever heard!!! On a par with Stefan Kuntz
mjs Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Would have been interesting if Julian Dicks were still playing - especially a tackle from behind!!
Presty On Tour Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Would have been interesting if Julian Dicks were still playing - especially a tackle from behind!! haha quality

LeftWinger Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Think you could put together a team of funny names. There was Rafael Scheidt who played for Celtic too. They could be managed by Martin Jols brothers - Dick Jol and Cock Jol
