  1. 1. Have your say on the summer transfer window.

No European football again, i think he will be.

Yeah, but we're all biased towards our favourite clubs..

Torres is playing for his, too. Hopefully, there's other players out there than Maldini and a few at Roma to appreciate the club and it's supporters. Then again, Reyes did leave Sevilla, so I'm sure Torres will too. Just hope it's for a better club than Liverpool.

Owen to go?

Viduka seems to think Owen is on his way for 9m. At least our board put release clauses in the contracts more than what we have paid. To pay 17m, get a handful of games, then lose him for 9m is a real kick in the teeth. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be livid with both Owen and the Newcastle board.

13 appearances in 2 years - making an 8m loss on the transfer fee + wages say 100k per week.

Those 13 apperances will have cost them roughly 18m (less any compensation the FA paid for his inury with England)

according to this the boys will be back on 2nd July which is .......... NEXT MONDAY :brfc::)

Yeah that was the date set before the players went on their summer break. Looks as though are lovely neighbours 'The Dingles', think they're too good and won't be due in for their training until Wednesday 4th. Maybe they're expecting a quick return to the First Division!!

why is savage being linked with a move away from ewood park every week?

i don't think he wants to leave, i don't think hughes wants him to leave and as far as i know he is with ooijer and a blackburn physio getting ready fro pre season.

he is a vital part of our setup imo

No. The intangibles he brings to the club make any money we get for him not worth it. Brum fans will tell you that his leaving played a major role in their relegation.

The FA have covered half of his wages whilst he has been off and FIFA have very recentlly agreed to a £7m compensation package for the bar codes from the World Cup pot as compensation for losing a player in a major tournament. It basically means that Obefemi Martins has not cost them a penny as cover for the little fella. And they still have both of them as assets.

Not a bad legacy.

Which we? Liverpool? Mentioning which, apparently Torres will be heading to t'Pool in the next two weeks, according to Guillem Balacque (or however you spell it). With the possibility of Luis Garcia going the other way.

I'd go as far as to say that we lost at least 4 spots in the final table because of him being on the injured list the last four months of the season. I think we would have got past Bayer Leverkusen as well with him in the lineup.

We really need another attacking midfielder who could get us around 5 - 10 goals a season.

I'd be quite confident of a full season of Steven Reid giving us exactly that.
