Manc Rover Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Double bad news- West Ham bidding £11m for Bellamy and Man U selling Richardson to fund a bid for Benni. Good news- these are Tribal Football reports. Yeah damn good news it's Tribalfootball reporting that rubbish - we now know there's not an ounce of truth in it!

Oklahoma Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 According to Daily Mirror, Man utd signed Tevez for £20 million. If true, it will be good for us.
Backroom trueblue Posted July 5, 2007 Backroom Posted July 5, 2007 If true, it will be good for us. How?? It means Wham will have £20M to fund a bid for Bellamy !!
joey_big_nose Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 According to Daily Mirror, Man utd signed Tevez for £20 million. If true, it will be good for us. I don't know about that... West Ham will have even more money to replace him. I think they will go for both Bellamy and McCarthy. Balls.
Ronin Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Don't really see McCarthy going to West Sham (no Champs League) and same goes for Bellamy (doesn't play for sh*t teams as the quote goes). If they want to follow Lucash Neill and get a bumper payday then they'll go.
sussexrover Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 That assumes West Ham are going to get the money for his sale - which is far from clear at this point.
sussexrover Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Not Rovers related but you couldn't write this stuff:- Football cliche number 126 - it must be written in their contracts or something
Billy Castell Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Everyone knows he is a hardcore Atletico fan. Anyway, at least we won't be linked with this fossil anymore.
grizfoot Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 According to Daily Mirror, Man utd signed Tevez for £20 million. If true, it will be good for us. And they say Chelski chuck money around. Why do they need the Argentininen dwarf when they've already got Rooney?
accyrover Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 And they say Chelski chuck money around. Why do they need the Argentininen dwarf when they've already got Rooney? More to the point, why do they need Hargreaves when they already have Carrick ? Two English International defensive midfielders ! By my count that takes their spending to over £60 mill this close season. You can bet the press wont be accusing RFW of buying the Premiership next season if they win it. Accyrover
Craigman Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ool/6270944.stm West Ham favourites for Bellamy according to BBC !
LeftWinger Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Have United finally managed to replace Luke Chadwick?
gumboots Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ool/6270944.stm West Ham favourites for Bellamy according to BBC ! Were the BBC right about Benni McCarthy not turning up for training?
1864roverite Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Derby just announced the 3m signing of Claude Davis from Sheff U. Does this put to an end the bid for TODD ?
92er Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Were the BBC right about Benni McCarthy not turning up for training? Not according to Radio Lancs and Lee on another topic.
tcj_jones Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Just saw Den's link in the transfer links thread linking us with Nicky Weaver. I cannot for a second think why we are being linked with him! Also, there is a link to Baird's future. Could be a great purchase - Saints player of the season.
Foxxx Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Just saw Den's link in the transfer links thread linking us with Nicky Weaver. I cannot for a second think why we are being linked with him! No need to worry, he signed for Charlton the other day.
Roar of the Rover Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 It's going to be a tough ask for anyone challenging the Mancs next season if Tevez joins.
philipl Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Man U are going to another level if they sign Tevez. Not so much the player himself (who is sensational) but the tactical options it gives RFW are breathtaking. Elsewhere, Liverpool are supposedly offering £13.5m to Porto for Quaresma- so that is one wing berth at Liverpool being occupied.
Grabbi Graeme Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 SSN reporting Man Utd have signed Tevez on a 2 yr loan deal with an option to buy him for a further 3 yrs after that. Tevez will be paid £4m a year over the 2 yrs loan deal
Cocker Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 For some reason I just dont think Tevez is all that good. If Man U have a shed load of money to spend and can offer 4m a year to someone why dont they just get Eto or Kaka instead of over rated Rat Boy.
rover_groo Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Just saw Den's link in the transfer links thread linking us with Nicky Weaver. I cannot for a second think why we are being linked with him! Weaver signed for Charlton Athletic on a free transfer a few days ago now. I'm personally glad we didn't sign him, but couldn't help this thought that Tim Flowers gave a huge vote of confidence to Rovers and maybe persuaded them to show interest, as he wouldn't be making a move down to the Championship. All in all he went to Charlton and maybe this could show what kind of keeper he is becoming!! Also, there is a link to Baird's future. Could be a great purchase - Saints player of the season. He would be a superb purchase and feel that a move would be welll worth it. Baird also made a clean sweep of awards at the end of last season, notching up young player of the year as well as goal of the season at the saints. Done well considering he had to fight off the challenge of Gareth Bale who could have come into the short-list for yound player & goal of the season awards.
