  1. 1. Have your say on the summer transfer window.

'Belgium's Philippe Leonard is desperate to leave Feyenoord for Blackburn after a January move collapsed. "I was ready to swim the Channel to join." (NotW)'

From what I have seen from this guy he is awful and wouldn't be any good in the Championship. Also, he is 33 so we should drop this I reckon.

I would love Roque Santa Cruz in our team, him and Benni could make a formidable partnership. He scored a great hat-trick in the Copa America last week versus Columbia.

But i believe that the him being linked to us, is made up. If he were to go anywhere it would be to a country like Spain or Portugal, i remember hearing an interview with him saying he wouldn't like to play in the Premiership and would one day like to end his career in La Liga. That were about 3/4 years ago so it could have changed i suppose.

Yes it could well have changed!

Nothing whatsoever to do with the escalation of wages in the Prem of course!

If he's going to sit on the bench somewhere, he might as well be rewarded handsomely enough for doing it!.;)

Blackburn Rovers are keeping tabs on 2 South American youth stars at the on going under 20 World cup in Canada. Celso BORGES and giant defender Kendall WASTON have already come here on trial. They both helped Costa Rica beat Scotland yesterday 2-1......

The chap Jonathan Mcdonald who scores the winner for Costa Rica looks very nippy and a bit special, maybe Rovers should give him a trail as well.

Video Action Costa Rica 2 Scotland 1

Video action V Scotland

(Kendall is the one who hits the bar)

In other Rovers transfer news Blackburn and Bolton are both chasing Henri Camara from Wigan..................

Lukewarm response from Rovers to the Santa Cruz speculation according to the LT:

John Williams: "We have been made aware of his availability by a number of agents. He's a player that Mark is aware of."

About right imo. Leave it at that.

He has been placed on the wing at his other club just like our other purchase. I can only guess that he may be bought to replace an outgoing Roberts. I think that with his passing and playmaking ability he would be a great feeder for Benni. This is probably what MH is thinking, the fact that he can finish a ball as well is a plus. IMO

if we do sign him, something that he will bring to the side is aerial thereat in the air as he looks fairly tall when i caught a glimps of him in action yesterday and as we know that most of the time bentlys and mortens deliverys are fair good into the box so he could be a good addition for my liking :rover:

Apparently Santa Cruz is only 25! I thought he was pushing 30! Hes a big name known throughout Europe, signing him may help raise the profile of Rovers. Ive never seen him play though so cant comment if hell be good or not. Scored a hat trick other day in Copa America though.

Fulham have signed Kamara from West brom for 6 million, SSN

Blimey, that's seriously overpriced. They guy did nothing the last time he was in the prem and cant see this one paying off.

Santa Cruz would be an unbelievable signing but cant see it happening
