Alan75 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Good luck to Morecambe this afternoon as they take on Exeter at Wembley in the Conference play-off for a place in the Football League. The Shrimps have for a number of season, been welcoming hosts for the Rovers after the club adopting, Christie Park, as the home ground for their reserve games. Former Rover reserve keeper, Steven Drench, even made a permanent move to Christie Park; where his outstanding performances this season has contributed to Morecambe’s success. Unfortunately he will miss out on this afternoon’s game due to an injury (dislocated elbow) that he picked up in the semi final against York. Meanwhile Blackpool, managed by former Rover defender Simon Grayson and Rovers legend Tony Parkes qualified for the League 1 play-off after beating Oldham in the semi finals.
