USRoverME Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 bah, too bad I'm late, I'd have stuck up for my Bills.... a good young side, getting better (despite being the latest in the Patriot blowouts), die hard fans, and we go well with Buffalo wings.... (gotta love the anchor bar!)

Exiled_Rover Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 bah, too bad I'm late, I'd have stuck up for my Bills.... a good young side, getting better (despite being the latest in the Patriot blowouts), die hard fans, and we go well with Buffalo wings.... (gotta love the anchor bar!) Aaaand probably moving to Toronto.
USRoverME Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 No way they move to Toronto anytime soon. The Bills are about the only thing going in Buffalo, the City wouldn't stand for it. That being said. The Toronto market is HUGE for them, hence the moving of 1 game... and probably 1 game a year for the foreseeable future. But the owner has stated that he's not going to move the franchise in his lifetime, and Mr. wilson is typcally an owner to trust. Granted he's in his 80s, but still... seriously, the "bills to Toronto" rumor is tosh. Its would be the same if you heard a rumor about the future London Giants or Manchester Dolphins after their recent match abroad...

Rumour has it they're up for grabs once Ralph Wilson pops his clogs. There's substantial interest from Toronto, so someone in the know has connected the dots. It's a feasible one from what I've read; moreso because they haven't been linked with the dreaded move to LA.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS ARE BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jc to the beastttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt Calm down. You eeked out a win at home against a pretty poor Titans team (especially once they get behind by more than a touchdown). I wouldn't go shouting from the rooftops just yet. Just be thankful the AFC West is ###### poor this year.
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 well, ladies and gents...it looks like your dallas cowboys, are gonna fight with the pack, for the best record in the nfc next thursday and get home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
cn174 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Excellent night of NFL I thought last night, from what I saw whilst trying to write my assignment. The Bears did very well to pull back 2 TDs in about 5 minutes to take the game into overtime then beat the Broncos. Poor Abbey! And from what I saw of the Eagles vs Pats game, it was very end to end stuff, but unfortunately Eagles just couldn't overcome them and Pats go 11-0
ABBEY Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 bloody cheating zebras...how the hell they said it wasnt a catchby stokes or how the hell they gave the td at the end is baffling or how bly was given for illegal contact in the 4th ....ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exiled_Rover Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Deluded, Abbey. It was a great throw by Sexy Rexy to Berrian. His knee was clearly down too. It's Scotty O'Brien's fault for kicking to Devin Hester.
ABBEY Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 deluded? nah...no way should it have been allowed to get far ...what about stokes "incomplete" catch what a BS CALL THAT WAS..and the illegal contact by bly BS call as well....watched the td again probly good call but the drive should have stopped but for inept reffing....not deluded FACT.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 You know they never overturn stuff unless it's lit up in neon lights that they got it wrong. The catch was too close to call - though yeah, it was a catch. It was illegal contact too, but they could call that on every play.
T4E Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Very disappointing defeat for the Broncos. Still, in the last 3 weeks we've seen enough to believe the play offs are still possible. We'd have won easily last night if it was for Sauerbrun being a complete muppet. God knows what he was thinking.
grizfoot Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Entertaining game last night, the Broncos must be gutted to lose a game having been 14 points clear with only 5 left on the clock. Brilliant catch for the touchdown to take into OT though.
T4E Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Not to mention that grab by Tony Scheffler! Brilliant game all round.
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 i just heard this too, on the breakfast news on radio. it certainly started to wake me up in a hurry, even at 5.30am. i am struggling to understand if this was a result of an armed robbery or possibly something more sinister, because sean taylor has gotten himself into trouble in the past and this could be some kind of retribution, made to look like a rbbery gone wrong. however, i trust that the perps will be caught and they will be given the death sentence, knowing that this was in florida.
ABBEY Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 such a sad end for another talented sportsman..catch the evil scum and fry the bast@rds
grizfoot Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Green Bay @ Dallas tonight, should be close game I've a feeling the Packers may just nick this one.
American Rover12 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 must be nice to have such a big game on regular network television. It's on the NFL network here. Bunch of sh!t if ya ask me.
roversyoyo Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I've just moved over to Minneapolis from London for a work assignment on a 4 year contract, so i thought i'd try and get to an NFL game. I went to watch the local Minnesota Vikings v Oakland Raiders (2 weeks ago I think) The good news is that the Vikings won (especially for Abbey by the looks of it) because it made for a good atmosphere, but I nearly fell asleep at certain intervals wondering why the hell nothing seemed to be happening. Then it dawned on me, we were on a tv break. WOW, if this ever happened in football then i'd stop watching. period. I actually fell asleep at one point, but that was probably too much beer . Luckily for me it was a high scoring game with a few touch downs or I would have left at half time. I have been once now and experienced it, but I wasn't too impressed. I wont be going again for a while. Having said that there are probably better teams and games to watch and if people can give me a compelling reason to go again I'll give it another go, but at the moment the only good thing about the whole game was the mixing of opposing teams fans with not even a sniff of trouble anywhere. Oh and the fract that you dont have to leave your seat to get some (crap) beer. Just my 2 penneth worth. Maybe its better on TV

Oh yeah I heard about that, bit silly really considering it's such an important game. And roversyoyo yes you should watch a few games on tv it really is an intersting sport once you get into it.
American Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The NFL got greedy with this slate of games. They are asking cable companies (and therefore subscribers) to pay more than double what is paid for CNN for a network where people might watch it 8 times a year (when they have games on). My cable company put it on a tier. Fortunately, it is the same tier I voluntarily used to pay for (when I had my own place ) to get Fox Soccer.
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 well folks, your dallas cowboys have clinched a playoff berth and we could have home field advantage as long as we don't stuff up like we did the end of last season.

Yeah I ordered FSC and GOLTV at home, I got a bunch of other stuff in the package including NFL network. It's ok sometimes, but mostly not. Here at school, they're in a contract with Comcast(our cable tv provider) and cant change the channels till 2010. It's terrible.
