I know he was suspended from Blackpool and there was a big cloud surroinding it all but did it ever come out why he had to leave or was it as simple as rubbish results?

Big Col got sacked for rubbish results. He was replaced by Simon Grayson who has just taken Blackpool to promotion to The Championship.

Which may or may not add to the theory that great players don't always make good managers and, of course, the corollory.

It is odd though Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Mark Lawrenson, Stuart Pearce were all good or great players but rubbish managers.

More top players who suprisingly made poor managers include... Alan Ball, Nobby Stiles and Bryan Robson, yet Wor Jack made a gud un.

Lawrenson does a fantastic short back & sides though.

Blackpool fans will tell you that Hendry had no money when he was in charge and that the major difference between his performance and Graysons was the financial backing that Lokeron(sp?) has given to Grayson.
