Darren Bent was "on the verge" of joining West Ham too - maybe all is not lost.

It's true that the BBC story is as light on facts as many of the rumours floating around this summer but I reckon he's gone and WHam will finally look a credible top-6 side.

Ah well.

What Bellamy needs now is a bit of stability. A huge footballing talent could be forever lost if Craig makes the wrong move this time, and, although I would say this wouldn't I his best option would be Blackburn Rovers.

A move to West Ham, not just for Craig but anyone whilst the current regime in place will always look poorly motivated (so to speak).

He needs to swallow his pride, realise he could be the superstar he obviously craves to be at Ewood and cement his place amongst the great Premiership strikers, which IMO he has the talent to be.

I wish you could send a copy of yor post to Bellamy before it's too late Ozzie! ;)

To be fair though all the information currently being put forward by nicko seems to be spot on.

Details of the takeover interest, Roberts, Todd, Bellamy................

If it was Henry Winter coming on here giving all his secrets away and not Alan "Red Top" Nixon, Tris would be beside himself with excitement!

:)

As were the rumors of a clause in Bellamy's contract that people slated the papers for saying existed (if I wasn't lazy, I might look up what you had to say on the subject last spring)....

Nicko, not bashing you, I find the info fun, but bashing the hypocrisy of some of our members.

But does Podolski sound like a Crufts contestant? Poodlski? I'll get me coat

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 'sounds like a crufts contestant' refers to the fact the player has ' good pedigree'

Nothing to do with how his name sounds

Awaiting the clue, Nicko.

Career suicide in my opinion. He's better off at rovers where he knows the setup.

That move is certainly a sucidal one.

However with the ol' cliche I don't think a move back to Blackburn could have been a wise one either (returning to the old club and all that). He could have found himself a better move to the likes of Arsenal/Newcastle and possibly Fulham.

But we'll see how West Sham get on this season and lets hope that they won't be able to pay their way out of relegation this season!! Well they did manage to get rid of Woy Carroll, so at least that is a step in the right direction!

25 years or so...

Crufts was refereeing to 'pedigree' and not the striker's name.

Still awaiting progress report on our mystery man.

Should have some takeover news to report in the super soaraway Sunday People.

Too much of a coincidence that papers reported City being offered Santa Cruz and the fact that he's 25. Saviola is too, but as he's on "free", it must be the Paraguayan.

I remember there being a previous story on Skysports.com about a foreign player, playing abroad, that someone had made an inquiry about, who wasn't sure about who his agent was... there was his normal agent and someone else claiming to be his agent.

George Weah perhaps??

From the Derby paper tonight...

Derby are far from finished in the transfer market.

They remain keen to land Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd, the son of Rams legend Colin, and are looking to boost their firepower with another striker.

That was after they signed Claude Davis, which was an another idle rumour.

Still some work to be done on Todd. Derby want him, it's just a matter of how much.

"Bellamy has been teasing his would-be suitors over the past few weeks. He sent texts to Blackburn players and staff, telling them he was coming back."

Who are the clubs?

North-East is either Middlesboro=NO, Sunderland=NO or Newcastle=they have a load of cash now, but NO!

Southern=who?

Everton, I could maybe see, but not for £8mill! As Bentley is settled in the North-West now, and his family are based in the North-West... he's happy where he is, I'd say.

West Ham trying to pull another fast one?

For what it's worth I don't see Bentley going anywhere.

Firmly in contract, settled, had the best season of his career.

Everton don't have the money, Newcastle have other priorities.

I would not lose any sleep on that one...
