Spansterkid Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Just watched his hat-trick against Colombia on 28 June, one with his left foot, one with his right and one with his head First second third Seems to have a bit of pace and plenty of talent.

Santa Cruz Cruz Cruz Wont you score a goal for me Wiiiiiiiiiitttthhhhhhhhhhhh your left, with your right, with your head or with your knee.... etc etc etc
Bazzanotsogreat Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 any idea of his age, and what price is he valued at He is 25 , a tall tecnically gifted player, with a decent amount of pace. Fee 8 million mouted in the papers 8-10 million euros according to some of the Bayern forums. Be chuffed if we could get him, his problem has been injury and then stiff competition, at the moment he is surplus to requirment at Bayern and the best he could hope for is a place on the bench
Alan75 Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 any idea of his age, and what price is he valued at £4.5million
Bazzanotsogreat Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 £4.5million He will go for more than that according to the forums in Germany anyway
Lathund Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 He turns 26 this year. I don't know the price, but seeing as how Bayern have Miroslav Klose, Luca Toni and Lucas Podolski I don't think they'd be asking for too much. It'd seem to me that they're looking for a cheaper 3rd/4th choice striker.
philipl Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 The Colombian defence was on another planet! This one for Bayern is nice. Goal for Bayern punishing an AWOL defence Video from the crowd of Santa Cruz CL goal Photo montage Being chucked out of Bayern Munich is no blemish given the signings they have made this summer. That said, I always felt Santa Cruz was one of the reasons why Bayern were quite soft in recent seasons.
tchocky Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 He's got a cool name if nothing else. A year long loan would be good, with a fixed price agreement on the end of it. He's a great talent but a little bit of a crock. Exciting player IMO.
thenodrog Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Signed to keep Jan, Roversmum etc happy. I'd rather them be miserable if he looked like Peter Beardsley...... as long as he could play like him!
yellowsubmarine Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Would love to see this headline on Boxing Day. "Rovers Cruz past City with Santa's Hattrick!"
Saf Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 niko did say he would be avilable for a lower price than imagined
USABlue Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 So you'd obviously have refused to break the British transfer record in 1992 for a guy from Southampton that had a similar ratio? Did you not read the part about "other qualities"?
thenodrog Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 niko did say he would be avilable for a lower price than imagined Don't get carried away. Thats only an opinion. Anyway..... All this transfer carry on! If we cannot compete with the other clubs in this div then how do we expect to keep what we have got? I'd be more than happy to settle for BRFC keeping the main strikeforce that we already have. Benni, Roberts, Derbyshire, Jeffers and Rigters (although in fairness I haven't seen him play yet), allow Gally and Nonda to leave and put in a bargain basement bid for Beattie to offer an aereal threat and that'd do me.

Was it the same player that provided the pass for the first and second, if so HE looks like the player we need two sweet, killer passes there.

they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Looks like its us Vs; Man City Galatasaray Real Betis Marseille & Roma for his signature!
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...156&cpid=22 Says Bayern have slapped a £3.4 mill price tag on his head.
tcj_jones Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I'd have thought Roma would be by far the most attractive option if that is true. Can't see us competing with them.
thenodrog Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 I'd have thought Roma would be by far the most attractive option if that is true. Can't see us competing with them. We can always let him go to Roma and take him on loan next year!
Plastic Head Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Just back from Munich last week and talking to the locals they are just off a disappointing season although they did get to UCL quarter finals, they failed to qualify for the competition next season so are in the dreaded UEFA Cup !! Therefore next season is being seen as a rebuilding year with them concentrating on domestic results so quite a few comings and goings are expected. They have already added strikers Miroslav Klose, Luca Toni and highly rated youngster Jan Schlaudraff to their squad. So they could be ready to let Roque go. Make no mistake this guy is quality....but if he arrives expect some shouts of "get stuck in Santa" from the Riverside. Norman Bell he isn't....

I wonder how they managed to attract em without CL football to compete in, or is what we are being force fed about playing in the CL just complete media bollax?

USABlue Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Looks like its us Vs; Man City Galatasaray Real Betis Marseille & Roma for his signature! Take City off the list and there is some attractive competition there. Will this fella feel he is up to the bump and grind of the prem?
