I take your point but how many games has he played in two years waggy? He was slow to begin with and serious injuries will only make him slower.

Ive been doing the math and if we sell Franni for 750k as is being touted and Roberts for 4 million that would cover the price of Santa Claus, do you all think that is what MH is doing with all the Roberts talk? We already have our other buys covered with the sale of Todd, I think it is smart businness buy MH and the board .... again. You have to love that man. :)

apparently were after 2 south americans who are currently playing in the u20 world cup in canada for costa rica and we and bolton are after wigan's henri camra. i got this from unleaded on the other thread. is any of this true niko. not sure about camra a big name like santa cruz would do for me

have you heard anything about us rejecting a huge offer for mcCarthy last wk, from west ham. bid was apparantly in the region of £14M!

serious money.

I've heard that the West Ham players have been told that McCarthy will be joining them. Source couldn't be any better. Hang on - I might have just made this up :lol:

Just briefly.

I don't think the West Ham stories with Benni can be right. Bellamy is joining them and they are after Kamara to replace Harewood. So they are full of strikers.

Henri Camara is an interesting thought. although he would rive you crazy at times. Fastest around but plays a bit off the cuff. Still, with the prices for players with worse scoring records it's not a silly thought at all.

Don't know about the South American under-20s. Sounds like a few expensive phone calls to check those out... :rolleyes:

Hot off the press...

Rovers have agreed a £600,000 fee for the sale of Franny Jeffers to Ipswich. The clubs have been haggling for weeks but have reached a figure.

Now it's over to the fox in the box to sort out terms and whether he wants to uproot.

Bellamy spotted at Liverpool today. I think he must be owed some cash because the fee and wages are all agreed. Don't think it will stop the deal from happening.

If Man U can get a work permit for a player without a cap for Brazil I am sure they will find a way of siging Tevez... :angry:

It's an interesting story. Just be glad you are not a Sheffield United fan or you would be wanting to box some ears.

I wouldnt let him buy me one. It'd turn out to be a really nice house, and just when I'd settled in it, I'd find out he'd put in a bloody release clause :rolleyes:

I highly doubt they'll be letting Ashton go. More likely Harewood and/or Zamora and/or Cole, which are not anyone we should be looking into IMO.

Or even Bellamy! They may well have had enough of him by Christmas. :lol:

Seriously though, Imo we have an absolutely outstanding manager who isn't receiving any financial backing, and hasn't done ever since he took over.

I don't think that is quite true Rev. Sure he has not made any 10+ mill signings but he has been given the funds for the players he wants. How can we say for sure that Sparky actually wants more money, he's done a fantastic job with the coin he's used thus far. Are we assuming that because we were not publicly in the race for bellers Sparky is not being backed? We have a management team that seems to understand how were are and where we are financially. I can live with that.

hi nicko, have u got any latest news on santa cruz and whether or not we are going to make a bid for him, if so whcih agent will we be negotiating with as there looks to be more than 1 in this case <_< and other than santa cruz are rovers tracking any one else. cheers niko :rover:

£600,000 is good money for Jeffers. We got him for NOTHING!

Hope he will re-discover his form!

It's also a lot less than we got for Kuqi, in a lesser economic climate for strikers.
