I like Ashton but I can't see him and Santa working well together, they're too similar. Like I said the other day you need one whose first movement is towards the ball ( Santa ) and one whose first movement is away ( Bellamy ?)

Can you provide any substance to the Huddlestone to Rovers rumours that may surface again in forthcoming week, or has he now become one that Ramos wishes to keep.

How likely are Rovers to meet the valuation of a 10 million fee for Anelka - and what is the likelihood of him actually being interested in a move to Ewood, knowing that he is attracting the big clubs, whether at the end of the season or in this window - would he want to commit to a Rovers contract even if we could meet the valuation.

I honestly feel that it would be an amazing coup for Rovers to sign his quality, the best since Bellamy came to Ewood - but I`m just not feeling anyhting positive about this possibility.

Do you also know if Defoe, Bellamy will be available in the Window, have the agents been offerring them around ?

Rovers looking for 4 for Roberts, 2 for Savage, there is 3 for sure in the kitty- I wonder if there is a main target priced in the £7m to £8m bracket?

And, by the way, Burnley were absolutely atrocious today. I thought so, the Coyle Man agreed and gave them a bit of a slagging. They will have to bring in two or three quickly to give it a lift. But even after their bad run the gap to sixth is only six or seven points.

To be honest I thought the dingles were really really fortunate in some of their BIG wins and figured they would find their level soon enough. Don't want to say too much cos this stuff has a way of coming back and biting me on the Arse. Long may their crappy form continue.

Must have given the Lashers fans great satisfaction after enduring the arrogant crap they've had to from the six fingered friends of Nicko

HUDDLESTONE IS A STRANGE ONE...THE BOY CAN PLAY, BUT I THINK SPURS WOULD ASK FOR A LOT OF MONEY. DANIEL LEVY IS A HARD MAN TO DEAL WITH. FROM WHAT I HEAR ROVERS DO NOT HAVE THE CASH FOR A MAJOR SPLASH IN THAT AREA, BUT THAT COULD CHANGE.

I believe Souness spent upwards of £50M during his tenure also.

Hughes appears now to have to literally beg,borrow,steal and sell if he wants money for players :(

I'd argue that Filan was pretty good for us also, but aside from that it is quite a painful list!

Don't think that's true. Every extra million is useful, particularly when you are selling a player who could be quite expensive to replace and it isn't the only area of the team you need to add to. As I've said before, if we don't have any money then I would have to ask what has happened to the TV money.

Makes your blood run cold to read that. Apart from Filan and Henchoz, and perhaps Perez, all very dubious signings.

I've never understood why Hodgson has a reputation. Seems to me he talks a good game, has achieved in minor footballing countries, but nothing much on the bigger stage. I'm afraid Fulham are about to find out Hodgson is not a PL manager.

filan was a good goalkeeper, although he didn't get that many chances because of time flowers but when he did, was good for us. henchoz was also a very good signing for us and his partner ship with big col, was another good aspect of the team back then. i was very dissapointed with the fact that seb perez was not given more of a chance, because not only did he seem like a fine player, but the fans liked him aswell.

as paul said, the rest of em, did not work out at all.

Didn't Perez have problems with a sick daughter or his wife? Sure he wanted to move back to France as a result. Shame because he looked quality.

Thought we played really good stuff under Hodgson in the 1st part of the first season. We were really good to watch. He shouldn't be blamed for the Davies signing though. It's known Uncle Jack forced him onto Hodgson against his wishes.

That doesn't excuse the rest of his signings though. Dailly was pitiful.

I quite like Hodgson and wish him well at Fulham. I think there was a lot of things went wrong at Rovers that were out of Hodgson's control and they started when we won the league.
