Im all for loaning Rigters, get the lad some first team action.

Also more importantly, he may bang a few in against the Scum, just maybe!

According to the LT today, MH might be reluctant to let him go on loan at this stge because of injuries to other strikers.

Maceo's agent said, " Blackburn still feel Maceo will add value in the future. That's why they do not intend to sell him. And he will only join a club if the gut feelings are right."

Reading it I thought he fancied a move to Sunderland

Sunderland are interested, but not at £4 million.

Forget the Roy Keane denial stuff. He said he wasn't in for Sav...round about the same time somebody at his club made an offer.

It is his own site.

I was being tongue in cheek about the 'news' element...the fact he wants away has been known around here for about four weeks.

Oh yeah, caught the play on news part about it; I was just a little surprised to see a player blogging about the goings on of himself pertaining to the club. Kinda cool if ya ask me.

Why dont people just realise that we aint got any money to spend !!!!! IF we do business lets wait until Hughes and co announce it on The Rovers website.

Well Sherlock, if youd have read most of the posts on here you would have known that people arnt suggesting buying players but taking a look at loans and young lads such as that Bulgarian we have on trial.

We know we aint got money but if and when Savy goes as well as Roberts that does free up funds for potencial transfers so therefore we would have money to spend.

Boom Boom :)

There are howls about Rovers' lack of transfer activity but I am amazed at how quiet this window has been so far.

I had anticipated that on Jan 2, lots of shiny new players would be revealed who were the results of deals thrashed out in anticipation of the window.

I think there were two in the whole Premier League.

philipl - Just wait for the mad rush on the 31st ;)

Quite possibly but the last two deadline days have been rather quiet.

Looked at Sky's web site and there are just two totally completed deals in the EPL:

Gosling to Everton and Mexican Villa to Derby.

Spurs capture of the Cardiff full back is not yet complete apparently.

Incidentally, if you look at last summer's big spenders, the only ones who have seen a substantial improvement in performance are Everton, West Ham, Villa and Man City whilst Brum could well survive.

The other club to show significant forward movement comparing the 31 December league tables last year to this are Rovers.

Sunderland, Fulham, Wigan, Spurs, Derby, Newcastle might as well have kept their cheque books locked up for what good its done them.

Derby have signed Danny Mills aswell

Matt Taylor says Portsmouth have accepted offers from two Premier League clubs, although he has yet to speak to the interested teams.

The versatile left-sider has struggled for opportunities at Fratton Park this season and has started just three games in the league.

Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has previously suggested he would not stand in Taylor's way, if a suitable offer came in.

Now, according to the 26-year-old, two clubs have matched Pompey's valuation following the opening of the transfer window.

Taylor is now waiting for the opportunity to talk to the clubs concerned as he steps up his search for regular football.

Bolton Wanderers, Everton, Fulham, Reading and Sunderland have all been linked with a bid for the former Luton Town youngster in recent weeks.

The latest speculation has also claimed that Scottish giants Rangers are ready to enter the race to sign Taylor, who can play at full-back or in midfield.

I hear that Matt Derbyshire may be fit to play today after all. The word is he will have a painkilling injection on his sore ribs. But he will need a late fitness test.

Otherwise I think it is going to be a fairly strong side, not taking any chances of an upset.

Good to hear.

Taylor would be a good player to have - good long term competition for both Warnock and Peds, though I doubt we'd be interested at the fee being bandied about. Unless he can play centre midfield as well (don't think he can)? A central midfielder is a must.

Reckon most of the spending will come from teams in the bottom half of the table, although I doubt whether it'll be quality over quantity.
