Hey Nicko, got quite a few Villa mates, any news on MON's wheelings and dealings?

He wants a right back above all other tings...Boswingwa at Porto or possibly Chimbonda.

Probably the biggest issue will be holding onto Barry.

Incidentally there has been a blue moon over Ewood every July for the past three years-

Bellamy, then McCarthy and now Santa Cruz.

All of them better than Anelka in his current incarnation.

Anelka signed for Bolton Summer 2006 and has scored 21 in 56 appearances

McCarthy signed for us at the same time and scored 35 in 66 appearances.

I think we got the better one and he cost £5m less and probably lower wages.

Jesus Nicko that was fast!!!!! I forgot to ask about Everton too, don't worry I won't hassle you with every team in the Premiership but any news would be cool.

I know you know this but it is really appreciated....

I rate Chimbonda in that position that would be a good buy, if our midfield wasnt so dire at the moment I wouldnt mind us thinking about that.

Everton want a creative midfielder, it will probably be Manuel Fernandes if he does not go to jail. He got nicked for a nightclub incident round about the time they were fixing up a loan deal.

Fernandes story has already been in the People...he should fit in well. ;)

Liverpool appear to be talking to Skrtel, a Slovakian centre half who has to be quicker than Hyypia. But I don't see Rafa being there for long - out after the Champions League campaign is over.

We live in strange times.

For those who backed Coventry to be relegated - on the strength of going into administration...there is still 'hope.'

It turns out that Ray Ranson has yet to have his offer accepted by enough shareholders and the deadline for a deal is now being extended until mid-April.

We have not heard the end of this particular story.

the story that is circulating here is this:

It was Miguel's birthday and they all went to a bar after dinner.

Miguel was accused of stealing the watch of a security guy and they called the police.´

When Manuel Fernandes and Miguel's brother were leaving, they were stopped by security or police (not sure which) and that's where the arguments started.

Chelsea finally offered £12 million for Anelka this afternoon. Bolton want £15 million. He will go.

It's a shame, Chelsea obviously did not make him their first choice or it wouldn't have waited until January 7 to kick off.

Now they are in there is no chance for Rovers, so that is a bit of a blow - in my opinion.

One consolation is that he won't play on Sunday. Even if they don't agree a fee I think he will have a strop.

As for the 'is he better than Benni?' debate...do you think Rovers could get £12 million for Benni?

I liked the comment made on Soccer Saturday about him. The comment was made about Anelka being on fire and I believe Merson said how was me playing a month ago...CRAP :lol: ...you can imagine his agent being on the phone to him at the beginning of December reminding him that the window was coming up :)

Not entirely fair...he scored against Wigan and two against Birmingham in two of just three games Bolton have won in that period.

I think they will struggle without him. They have to buy a good replacement.

Selling at a profit is a good thing and they deserve it for buying him in the first place.

But it's who comes in and scores the goals that will decide if they stay up or not.

1 million to one...it's Saviola they want, followed by Thomasson and even Collins John.

I can't see Cisse coming over, but you never know.

Are they for real?

Bolton made an approach last Friday, just in case the Anelka offer came in.

Plan A is to buy him if Anelka goes.

Plan B is to loan him if he stays.

The fee is about £4 million, the wages are rich.

He is sharp, it's a good idea if they can pull it off.
