Rover down South Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Mike Newell - no bleeding thanks! Paul Ince perhaps, yes. We don't even have any evidence that Hughes is even leaving yet!! Do you really think Newcastle will want him?? What has he won here?? Don't get me wrong, I admire what Hughes has done with Blackburn, he is building a team slowly. Newcastle fans are'nt as patient as us, they want trophies immediately. Hughes has achieved nothing more than Allardyce did at Bolton, a few good league positions & a disappointing european campaign. Newcastle fans will want a high profile manager who can attract the big players.

Funny i thought Hughes attracted two former champions league winners in McCarthy and Santa Cruz and not forgetting a certain Bellamy who rejeccted bigger clubs than ourselves to join us. One thing awesome about us Rovers fans is that we always back our manager and we dont jump on him after four months.
den Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Do you really think Newcastle will want him?? Well Alan Oliver reckons that Newcastles owner is a big fan of hughes.

USABlue Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 NICKO CAN YOU SHED ANY LIGHT ON THIS: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11681_3036175,00.html OR http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11681_3036667,00.html THANK YOU. How awesome is that Nicko, A Fulham fan on the rovers board asking about someone from Brazil and A Watford player. Nicko goes Global

One thing awesome about us Rovers fans is that we always back our manager and we dont jump on him after four months. Can't argue with that, although Bellamy joined us because he had fallen out with a lot of people at Newcastle & Santa Cruz was warming the bench at Bayern. Newcastle will want a high profile manager & in my opinion they messed up when they appointed Big Sam because a certain Sven Goran Eriksson would have turned them around & given the fans what they wanted.
philipl Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Nowhe has the spending power, do you think Sparky will sign Bellamy for Newcastle?
S15 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Now would be the best time MH could ever leave us... Why??!! He will leave us at some point in the next 2-3 years... Right now there is the best replacement we will EVER get.... Sam Allardyce. People may jump on me for saying that, but it is absolutely stone cold fact.
revolutionrock! Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 If Hughes does go which i hope dosent happen... DONIS Are you for real? What the hell has this guy done apart from beat us? Hes hardly tearing Greece apart now is he!
John Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Nowhe has the spending power, do you think Sparky will sign Bellamy for Newcastle? He will be able to sign Diarra now at least....
nicko Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I. will. say. this. slowly. Newcastle want Harry Redknapp, it's up to him to decide whether he wants the job. He will take a couple of days to think about it. Mark Hughes has not been contacted, you have nothing to fear yet, put the cyanide tablets away. If - and only if - Redknapp stays at Portsmouth do you possibly have a problem. Right now and for the next few days at least there is only one equation...Redknapp is Newcastle's one and only show in town.

rebelmswar Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Thank you for the voice of reason. Quick!! Does anyone know an antidote for arsenic?
philipl Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Any Geordie coming on here would fall about laughing at us. Just looked at their boards and - they are having violent debates about Alan Shearer's suitability as Manager .... - they are decidedly unenthusiastic about Redknapp - have threads wittering about Mourinho, Klinsmann, van Basten and Strachan - seriously discussing the return of Keegan and one board has a two post entry: Q Hughes? A Add him to the list
revolutionrock! Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I seen one that read Hughes? Yet Another in the Queue.! There so far up there own ass it really is unbelievable.
nicko Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Well then. On to the transfer rumours Any news? I wish. The Bulgarian will get an answer tomorrow. Wigan have not heard any more about the Koumas thing. Diarra is out there but no-one has matched the £5.5 million that Newcastle were going to pay. It's becoming a little worrying.
vintageadidas Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 How has the Bulgarian done according to your sources Nicko?
nicko Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 How has the Bulgarian done according to your sources Nicko? Only OK.
ffan Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Only OK. What about theFulham King and Leyreiton deal Nicko?
John Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Nicko - thanks for cheering me with up with that transfer news! Changing it around Nicko, if approached by Newcastle, do you think Hughes would leave??
rebelmswar Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Nicko - thanks for cheering me with up with that transfer news! Scratch that antidote for arsenic.
nicko Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 What about theFulham King and Leyreiton deal Nicko? It sounds like Watford are pushing up King's price to silly levels - but Fulham have been guilty of over-spending in the past. As for the Brazilian kid, it is possible because I know they use an agent with good links over there...but how would he get a work permit?
92er Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Didn't ferguson recently describe the Newcastle position as the impossible job?
mjs Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 It sounds like Watford are pushing up King's price to silly levels - but Fulham have been guilty of over-spending in the past. And Woy has also been known to waste a bob or two in his time!!
