nicko, i know when i asked about etherington to blackburn you said you couldnt see it..

on the other forum apparntly etherington is coming to train with us for a few days and will watch the game on saturday??

something about downing turning down spurs aswell-so maybe were going for etherington for him to replace pedersen who could be going spurs??

There may be positive Amdy Faye news later...I believe he is keen to come but Rangers may need him for their game with Gretna tonight. Watch this space.

It all seems a little quiet on the Hughes front. I was wondering yesterday how this whole Newcastle affair may have affected Sparky. Has he actually felt excited about it? If so has it whetted his appetite to move on? Could there be some long term unsettling of Sparky created by this whole big club link.

Nicko...Deschamps agent has denied being contacted with regards to the newcastle job,any updates?

Of course he would be telling the truth about this... :lol:

Newcastle are putting their short-list in place, but Shearer's stuff in The Sun today will cause some problems.

The fans will no doubt sing his name long and hard tonight, especially if they lose to Stoke.

Ashley is right on the spot here - and Shearer seems to be the most powerful man in town.

Give him the job and see how he handles it. Call his bluff.
