philipl Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Had 200 on Shearer Other than on Tyneside where the sentimentalists will have cleaned up, I would imagine the bookies would want a NUFC managerial vacancy every week!
Jan Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Thank god for that. My colleagues are getting used to handing me tissues to dry tears now. The other day it was because Hughes was going, today it's joy. A bit silly, but hey!!
den Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 times have changed since he was last in charge he probably now sees how arsenal, citeh, villa have done it and thought why cant i? Yes times have changed. He went to City and was a disaster. City fans will be laughing their heads off. Talk about living in the past. I honestly thought Ashley would move the club forwards.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 He'll have him winning things again though Den....like promotion
Exiled_Rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Jeez. Moyes and Kenwright are playing a blinder on this one. You'd have to pay me £5m to take McFadden off your hands.

nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Looks like your source paid of Nicko. Not really, this is just madness and showbusiness rolled into one. Like I said before - when did a club last make a good managerial appointment?

I honestly thought Ashley would move the club forwards. He's bottled it in my opinion and gone for the romantic rollercoaster ride to please the geordies.
modes98 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Had 200 on Shearer Makes me feel better about my tenner Some Lucky gits had Keegan at 100/1 £16 on betfair
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Makes me feel better about my tenner Some Lucky gits had Keegan at 100/1 £16 on betfair I had £1,000,000 on Keegan at odds of 100/1. I gave Hughesy most of the money and I paid Mr Ashley some to hire Keegan. Feel free to thank me.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I would if you had paid off Ashley for the SW club shop deal too
rossyste Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Thank god for that. My colleagues are getting used to handing me tissues to dry tears now. The other day it was because Hughes was going, today it's joy. A bit silly, but hey!! would be different if hughesy had signed up at the peadodome to manage your true love........hypocrite
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 You gave all that to a message board member??? Well at least they hired Keggin thanks to you. I'll buy a Walker Fame brick in your honour but since you're so rich you can give me the £39 I did wonder why Hughesy looked different and sexier than on TV! D'oh!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I mentioned that i touched his boobies but felt it was inappropriate.
nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I wonder if Keegan will reach out to Shearer now and try to patch things up and get him involved. Their tiff is a bit stupid by all accounts. Keegan has certainly 'won' by getting the job. I don't think he had to do a trade by accepting Shearer with him, but it would be an interesting move to try. From what I hear Shearer is a bit upset...and he has certainly not been brought into the new Newcastle inner circle. Yet.
yoda Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Yes but he had 4 opportunities after the game yesterday (Sky Interview, BBC Interview, Radio 5 Live and Press Conference) each time he could have said that he would not be interested in the Newcastle job if offered to him, each time he didn't. To me that sounded like that at the very least he is interested in talking to Newcastle if an approach is made.
Mozzer Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 will we be getting koumas in to play central midfield??? i know he can play left and right wing(has done for wigan and west brom)...

1864roverite Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Today has been one of my saddest having been to the funeral of CN Barlow's (Member) father, Roger, who I might add was a fantastic fella. His passing and funeral have left a mark that will never be erased such was the occasion. I got a text indicating the Keegan homecoming and then having texted Den, he gave me the confirmation I needed. Thank god Hughes is still with us. Thank god that the Barcodes got what they wished for. Thank god for the fat ashley circus
John Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Excellent news!! Got an important day of meetings tomorrow, but plan to celebrating in style come the evening. Mark Hughes' Blue and White Army.
nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Here's a little thought... Kevin Keegan hasn't got any coaching badges. Does someone want to tell the Toon - and Betfair for that matter?
