T4E Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Also Amdy Faye isn't in the gers 16 tonight against Gretna. Don't read anything in to that. The last time he featured was as an unused substitute against Lyon on 12th Dec, and he hasn't featured in a league squad since 3rd November (again unused).

1864roverite Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 He has been coaching kids up in Scotland !!!! Big Al to give his take on the matter at half time in the Citeh/wham game. he had an almight cheesey grin when spoken to by big ears

It was more in response to the below from Nicko earlier, couldn't find where he had said it until now. Seem along time to be frozen out of a team. There may be positive Amdy Faye news later...I believe he is keen to come but Rangers may need him for their game with Gretna tonight. Watch this space.
T4E Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Seem along time to be frozen out of a team. Not when you're crap it's not.
herbergeehh Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 hating Newcastle just won't be quite the same again (for a few months at least). No problem, just wait until the next time they declare an interest in one of our players for a multimillion fee, with the "he needs to play for a bigger club"-attitude. Delighted to see this, Keegan hasn't got the best record on the transfer market, has he?
Dunnfc Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Strachan is at the Man City game, Do you think hes looking at anyone?
Ste B Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Strachan is at the Man City game, Do you think hes looking at anyone? Yes, a couple of stewards, 20000 fans and 22 footballers.
broadsword Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I think he's looking at your bird as well. Sort it out before he spills your pint.
modes98 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Jan 16 2008, 20:54 ) 577479 Yes, a couple of stewards, 20000 fans and 22 footballers. and at first glance a rather nice woman next to him. Great to hear the toon happy again. "you score 6, we'll score 7. But we don't mind if we lose" Quality Disgraceful challenge by Emre there. Also good to see Keegan picking up the blondes after 5mins back in the job.
Fife Rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Not really, this is just madness and showbusiness rolled into one. Like I said before - when did a club last make a good managerial appointment? When Rovers signed Sparky?
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Jan 16 2008, 20:54 ) 577479 Yes, a couple of stewards, 20000 fans and 22 footballers. We need a few of those at Parkhead
nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Shearer on Keegan was hilarious. I have never seen Big Al look so uncomfortable before. Not spoken to KK in months...co contact about the so-called dream ticket...but he would talk to him...and he wants to be manager one day. It's a hot potato for KK. Wonder what he will do. And wonder if they will say what the fall-out was about.
EwoodGlory Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Nicko have you seen Fabian Yantorno of Gretna before? Uruguayan playing midfield, looks pretty good. First time i've seen him. I have never seen Big Al look so uncomfortable before. Even with his mate asking the questions that were probably already scripted.

bluebruce Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 When Rovers signed Sparky? A little unfair...Redknapp went back to Pompey later than that.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 if wikipedia is to be believed, Keegan got a diploma from the FA due to his experience... He can also run 200m in 8 seconds
they_think_its_all_rover Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Loving the BBC cup updates... they're by a guy called; Ben Dirs & one of his comments is this little gem; "2131: Ashley really does look amused by his little coup. I wish I could say I was that amused when I last visited his West End flagship store Lillywhites. Used to be a cracking little place where you could get croquet sets and £900 tennis raquets, now you can't move for cheap, affordable sportswear. Disgraceful."
revolutionrock! Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 He can also run 200m in 8 seconds Nah, 2m in 8 .

brfcshabba Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 My apologies. Birmingham have made an offer that does add up to that including bonuses. Very heavy money, but still not enough for Everton. They have agreed a fee now.

nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 They have agreed a fee now. £5 million plus £1 million in add-ons. Amazing. In other news: BOLTON - bidding for Mellberg at Villa but may miss out on Matty Taylor who is also talking to Sunderland and Middlesbrough. BURNLEY - made offer for Derek Riordan but could sell Andy Gray to Charlton or Ipswich. COVENTRY - have come into some money and are out to spend it.
benlloninho Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Isn't Juve interested in Mellberg, too? Hmm, Bolton or Juventus? Or Villa for that matter.
brfcshabba Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 £5 million plus £1 million in add-ons. Amazing. I think Motherwell will take a percentage of that
nicko Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Isn't Juve interested in Mellberg, too? Hmm, Bolton or Juventus? Or Villa for that matter. If Juve were serious they would have done it by now. Mellberg wants to play centre half and not right back like he is at Villa. He is a free agent next summer and won't get a longer deal than Bolton are offering...to be fair.
