A bit of sad but inevitable news...

Colin Hendry is quitting his job at Clyde...he's had a rough time of late with his missus and one or two other things.

I hope the big chap gets another chance soon, somewhere around here where he doesn't have to commute about 25,000 miles a season.

When you think of what he has done to stay working with all of the other stuff going on in his life it puts some ex-pros to shame.

A real gent.

Our Col is a top lad and someone I always look out for in the game. As you said, what he's dealt with whilst still giving 100% just shows why players like Colin will always be respected throughout the game from everyone throughout the country. A true hero inside and outside the game.

Reports in Bulgaria that we are going to sign Valeri on loan for the rest of the season and if he impresses it'll be permanent, (so says a lad on the official boards from over there).

Any word Nicko?

Where was that from 'nickovski.com'?

There is a possibility of that but there are other clubs who want to buy him. It depends whether Levski are prepared to lose their star man and risk him being snubbed in the summer.

Sorry to bring up the money thing again... but I just had a thought, and was wondering;

...Is there anything in Jack's will that says if Rovers are strapped for cash the trustee's must sell some of the family's assets e.g. Flybe?

Can't see it, mate.

Selling an asset which is, I would've thought, turning a profit to prop up another part of the conglomerate which is making a loss would be very bad business sense. Particularly if teh outlook for the loss-making concern is that it won 't get into the black any time soon.

apparently with the keegan clear out imminent, emre is going to be surplus to requirements.

i think we were linked with him before, i know he lost his head the other night but he is a good player imo, a very good player.

we may be able to get him on the cheap, maybe his fellow turkish international tugay can have a word with him.

any news on this nicko?

i know wikipedia can be Sh*** but apparently he scored 27 goals in 26 appearances last season four of them being champions league goals. Now i'm no expert on what goes on in managers brains but if he has the ability to 1. clock 9.98 seconds for 100m 2. score 27 goals in 26 games 3.score 4 goals in europes biggest tornament ,and 4. dribble like a brazilian ( a good brazilian i mean) would you turn him down? especially for an asking fee of 1.5m from levski.

In todays market if he only scores say 8 goals for us in half a season i think thats a good deal. Also the asking fee is 10 times less than totenham payed for darren bent (who has only scored 1 goal for spurs).

if you don't believe about his dribbling search 'domovchiysky' and take a look for yourself.

The boy is only 21 as well he has the potential to become one of the worlds top strikers

It is Faked.

Apparently he's qucker than that.

From the speed of the progress I'd imagine Hughes isn't over-enamoured with the guy. It's the same feeling I have with Koumas - if he wasn't good enough years ago, why is he good enough now? Sparky is being made to gamble because the money isn't there.

On the Marlon King deal, I'd say it is awful business, but for Watford more than Fulham. I'd be livid if we paid that for him, but look at the perspective of the selling club - they're letting their top goalscorer and talisman go for £5m, with the Premiership beckoning at £50m. It doesn't seem to make any sense at all. If they blow this promotion race then that £5m is going to look like very small change.

Just a thought jny, but you don't happen to be the boy's agent do you? Anyway assuming you're not, and just a Rovers supporter like the rest of us, don't you think Sparky and his staff are quite capable of deciding on the boy's value to us?
