Mozzer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 as stu said, andy todd was on loan at burnley-came back won player of the year twice.. mcevely was on loan at burnley..who cares..if your a good player, your a good player, no matter what club you played for.. cahill along with steven taylor, and david wheater are englands future for the central defence, for me onouha is more a right back then central defender...
revolutionrock! Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I again refer you to twice player of the year, Andy Todd. And where is he now? Not even playing at Derby who are bottom of the league. At the end of the day im not the manager so i dont decide who goes where, but why have a dingle in our team when we can have someone else To mozzer, then Richards will be in CB and Onuha RB, whatever, he wont play for England ahead of them, he aint in there league.
Hughesy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I think we should test United with a £1.5 million bid for Brown. He could help our defence out an dgive us options while Nelsen is poor.

stuwilky Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 And where is he now? Not even playing at Derby who are bottom of the league. Irrelevant of course to how he played when he donned the blue and white shirts At the end of the day im not the manager so i dont decide who goes where, but why have a dingle in our team when we can have someone else Thank the Lord for small mercies.
Hughesy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 At least he can defend!! Unlike Nelsen! Ye and make our wage bill worse than what it was when Savage was here, hell want 50k at least.
revolutionrock! Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Irrelevant of course to how he played when he donned the blue and white shirts Thank the Lord for small mercies. Why get a Dingle in , when you can have someone else here. Danny Simpson-RB, would solve it temporally. C Eagles- CM Cracking player, fitter and thinner than Dunn and would be a better choice. Hugjesy- I didnt say anything about him being poor , just that his wages would be mammoth for a club like ours to handle.
Hughesy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 brfc11 says no to a proven premier league defender, and then links us with 2 sub standard championship level players.... ha ha priceless Wages or not, he is a good player that would improve us.

How are these Sub Standard Championship level players, Ferguson doesnt play Mugs, i think both of these have played in the CL, hardly Championship class. Wages or not- We are a poor club, we cant go adding 50k to the wage bill. Think about it.
CircoWill Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 If Cahill's not good enough for Villa, why would we want him?

C Eagles- CM Cracking player, fitter and thinner than Dunn and would be a better choice. . ive always seen chris eagles as a right winger..a poor one at that..i always thought he could be worth a loan deal, but any time he has been on loan he hasnt exactly done the business...
LeftWinger Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 If Cahill's not good enough for Villa, why would we want him? Nelsen wasn't good enough for Charlton - hang on he isn't good enough for us anymore is he!

I like him, seen him play a few times and he looks decent.
revolutionrock! Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 MF Kieran Gibbs- Touted in Paper at start of season to be a big star. Worth a Shot MF Mark Randall-Like him, played well at ewood.
Mozzer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 instead of signing players who play in the premierleague, sign young players like randell and gibbs who are for the future, and players like eagles who hasnt even done well on loan in championship...
MarkBRFC Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 If Cahill's not good enough for Villa, why would we want him? Because Villa are better than us.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I hear that Podolski has been told that he can leave Bayern on loan, with Citeh leading the race to sign him. Maybe lightening could strike twice, what with us getting Roque off them in the summer too. Ah well, one can dream.
modes98 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 And how do you know hell be an England International, rather have Onuhua (SP.) than that dingle playing. Yep Man Citeh are just going to let him go aren't they! Richards is pretty good but Dunne puts in alot of work and makes him look better than he is. Equally his pace gets him out of situations he shouldn't put himself in. If Cahill's not good enough for Villa, why would we want him? They have a pretty good defence. Laursen, Davies, Knight, Mellberg and Bouma. I'd take a punt on Cahill at £2m. I hear that Podolski has been told that he can leave Bayern on loan If they have they are stupid, the guy is one of the best strikers around and in a recent statement the chairman said. "Our next manager Jürgen Klinsmann has communicated to us a list of the players that are going to be part of his project, and Podolski's name is included. Podolski has been underrated, he is worth much more money. Manchester City are one of the clubs interested but for us this file is closed."
Jammy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I think I can safely say, that everyone is crying out for some transfer activity, something that will give us fans a boost and hopefully the team a boost after a few dismall performances. Two thirds of the window gone and a few outgoings is not inspiring. I have faith in Mark Hughes he knows what he wants, after reading through these pages I think every postion except Friedels has been replaced.
waggy Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 i wonder who hughes had lined up?in saturdays telewag he said he was intrested in a few players who had already moved on in this window

I never said that about Onuha and Richards, read it again, and youll see i was discussing England 2m, they want 5m for him. rover.gif i wonder who hughes had lined up?in saturdays telewag he said he was intrested in a few players who had already moved on in this window brfcsmilie.gif Diarra.

Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 instead of signing players who play in the premierleague, sign young players like randell and gibbs who are for the future, and players like eagles who hasnt even done well on loan in championship... You dont get it do you, we are a poor club. We have next to nothing in transfer money compared to other prem clubs, we also have a poor wage budget. We cant go buying 2/3/4 Premiership players as this will push the wage budget to its limits and beyond, that is if we can afford the transfer fee. Also, how do you know he didnt do well? You watch him week in week out? I think not.
b12_simon Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I'd take a punt on Cahill at £2m. Rumour here is he's bound for St Andrews. What's more the bluenoses I drink with would welcome him - none of this childish "he's played for [rival club] so isn't worthy" cobblers I'm reading on this thread.
Mozzer Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 if your a good player , your a good player, regardless of the club you played for.. ridgewell moved to st andrews at the beginning of the year-and hes probably been there best player..thats from villa to birmingham-big rivals... at 2million cahill is worth a punt..hes young, english, and cant be much worse then the underperforming nelsen..
