i should maybe read some of the earlier pages of this thread to find out the answer to my question but, well........nicko.....what position do you hold within for football or rovers for that matter for everyone to be sending there questions your way like little kids do their wishes to father christmas???

I don't know how Nicko would like to be described.

The price is £4.5 million. I think that was established by Manchester City when they went in a couple of weeks back.

Santa Cruz's quotes probably refer to Rovers, but he was being crafty by putting it out there to make sure everyone starts talking about him again and thinking of signing him.

That is why Rovers now want an answer or they move on. I think they are doing the right thing.

Clubs, players and agents all play games. This is no different. But it is time for a deal or find someone else.

If Sparky has a genuine interest in him, scouts would have been sent to watch and homework done on a player. If he does come to Rovers, I'd urge people not to take him on his previous record but to see him play in Blue and White.

Whilst his previous goalscoring record is not great he has always been pretty highly rated. I think it would be quite an exciting signing with lots of potential.

seems like if we go for roque santa cruz or beattie it seems were after a target man more then a fast striker. roberts can be the quick striker we need..

Not had a good tease for a while...so here goes.

There is a top young kid flying in for talks with Rovers. He is a left winger and rated a real hot shot.

I know his name, but I'm holding it back for a day because I don't want to waste it as there is so much else going on.

If anyone can come up with the lad's name they will win my everlasting respect.

After the Roque Santa Cruz amateur detective work it is possible. But this one is a real tester.

He is 18. It is one for the squad if he signs.

He is a relative unknown but there is a good story behind it and he has a great name.

And he has flown in.

I wouldn't see it as a threat to MGP but if he joins it would certainly put the other left wingers under major pressure.
