Where did you read this?

Im not quite sure which website it was but I usually go on www.roversonline.com and that shows all the latest rovers news and it was on 1 of the links there.

I personally dont rate the player had a couple of games for arsenal. Saw him a couple of times in the league cup and didnt look the best of players.

It was a small story that was floated around on sites on a par with Tribal Football and probably was on their as well. There was no appearance of it in any of the major papers or news sites however.

Interesting line of attack with this latest guy. Laying down a little challange to Sergio and see how he reacts.

Just been speaking to Santa Cruz's agent and he confirmed Blackburn have made a concrete offer to the player. Porto are the other club in the running at the moment but a decision will be made by the weekend. Expect it to be Rovers!

This from the man who broke the exclusive that Neill was off to Liverpool and we were getting Mills as his replacement.

Ouch! Leftwinger, your memory's too good! Was misled by someone else on that one. But I've spoken to them this time and I'm pretty confident on Santa Cruz. Can't say I'm that pleased about it. Think he might flop

I've just spoken to Santa outside ASDA in Blackburn. He's signing at 2:27 tomorrow afternoon. His agent is called Rudolf.R.Reindeer and he will be on £1199.99 per working day

Obviously it's not true but I was just demonstrating that people could say just about anything and some people would end up believing them

Just spoken to me granny who lives near Ewood and she's heard sleigh bells overhead....!

So, you write for Setanta? Would you mind posting the write up on here, just so that we all know you're not a bulls****er.

Has he sorted out the issue between the countless agents he has? He has said he wants a premiership team so unless Citeh come in Santa is a rover. It's going to be a great christmas :xmas:

There is always someone on the board that remembers. Plus you have a posting record :P

My god, give the man a chance and take your granny to a psychiatrist ;) . However the article would be a nice read, although i doubt much on what we already have.

Jan van Baal is the agent trying to bring Santa Cruz to Blackburn - or Porto. He is a Dutch agent who is linked to Soren Lerby, the guy who took the player to Bayern in the first place.

The rest of the information is accurate. In fact it is exactly what was in the papers and on here yesterday.

I think the timescale is interesting and checks out that Rovers are now playing Santa Cruz v James Beattie games.

One potential snag is the player's father who is the man who will also have his say. But everything else looks ok.

I think there will be progress with either Santa Cruz or Beattie by the weekend.

The story will be on setanta shortly. This is what his agent said: ""He will sign for a new club within two or three days. We are negotiating with three clubs in Europe.

"There are two concrete offers, one from Blackburn and one from Southern Europe but he is keeping his options open."

Porto are the other club but he wouldn't confirm that for the site.

I notice he's never scored more than 5 goals in a season!?

How does he get such a good rep i wonder? .....is it just him having a 'quite' funny name? :D

Good work QOTSA. I'll give you this one. Sparky knows what he's doing. RSC is a good age and Hughes will get the best out of him.

must have something to play at bayern munich.

so the bid has been accepted???

4.5million seems a good price for a 25 yr old, playing at a big club considering when you look at chopra 5million
