Sandiway Blue Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Its not concrete.... but; http://www.goal.com/en/Transfertzone.aspx they confirm all transfers before they've being announced... always correct though. according to this he is on £50,000 a week ! sorry but for them kind of wages we should be able to get someone a lot better for less.
Ronin Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Hopefully we'll find out one way or another by the weekend if we get anyone.
broadsword Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 It's on Wikipedia that he's now at Zaragotha, wondered if that was a mistake. They don't half update quickly on there!

rebelmswar Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 http://www.goal.com/es/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=362889 Is Spain considered southern Europe?
nicko Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 My Spanish usually stretches to dos cervezas, but having studied the Spanish website it is worth pointing out a couple of things. The word 'rumoureando' sounds familiar for a start. It claims Zaragoza are paying 5 million euros to Bayern and 2 million euros to the player. That sounds a little bit short of what Munich want. A bit dubious about this one, but it could be a tit-for-tat tactic from the Santa Cruz camp for being put under pressure by Rovers for an answer. Significantly there is nothing on the man's own website...and you would think he would know. But it is interesting nonetheless.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 http://www.goal.com/es/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=362889 Anyone speak Spanish?
nicko Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 El Nicko has just spotted that the story was written about four hours ago...and claimed he was about to sign. I think Zaragoza may well be in the race, but why did agent van Baal not mention them in the last couple of hours when he spoke to Setanta man? Unless there is yet another agent omn the Zaragoza case. Hopefully Roque goes somewhere in the next few days - or signs for Rovers - and we can all move on.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 You spoke the Spanish before I asked! lol... You heard anything about Vieri going to Man City Nicko? I've heard my hometown team Hull City had talks with Vieri whilst training out in Italy earlier in the summer... but once it was known he was speaking to a club in England, Man City's interest arose. Have you heard any transfer news regarding Hull City too? I've tried to PM you, but your inbox is always full Did you look into the Nene and Abeyie rumours?
Saf Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 nothing hear says hes signed for zaragoza http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roque_Santa_Cruz

Saf Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 let hope he sitcks with his words after his agent said santa cruz would love to play in the premiership and england was his first choice can anyone translate a couple of these stories they are from a couple of days by the look of it http://www.roquesantacruz.com.py/principal...x?tarea=ninguna
bluebruce Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I can't help but continually wonder at people being so eager for Santa Cruz to sign for us. Just because he's playing for a big club doesn't make him a great player. His scoring record is pretty damn pants. I believe Nonda, this season, scored more for us than Santa has ever managed in a season? The man has a Francis Jeffersesque scoring record. Whilst I've always trusted Hughesy, I'm a little sceptical on this one, I have to say.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 According to this; http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A25155416 An Everton fan changed his Wiki
youandwhosearmy Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 oh my god!!#$%$@% are you people saying wikipedia is not completely accurate? this is a most distressing day indeed
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 On the 606 they seem to think the Everton fan did it, so we'd think he's been sold and go after Beattie
philipl Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Anyone speak Spanish? Roughly After days of rumours, Goal.com can report reliably that the arrival of Roque Santa Cruz at Real Zaragoza is only hours away. The Paraguayan forward, who had a good Copa America, will look to continue his good run of form in the future. Santa Cruz, who by the way, was closely linked with Real Betis at the beginning of the transfer window, was training again with Bayern, where he does not have a place and where he himself wanted to leave since he wishes to play in Spanish Liga. Now, Goal.com can confirm that Zaragoza will pay 5 million euros to Bayern and a wage of 2 million Euros net of tax per season to the forward for four seasons contract. Santa Cruz would strengthen Zaragoza even more after the arrival of Oliveira and would give another style which is different from the past that operated with the Brazilian Diego. If this is true, his pay is roughly £40K per week gross UK equivalent and transfer fee about £3.2 millions. Seriously Blackburn is a nicer place than Zaragoza.
LWX Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 the spanish article says....i think........ that its been rumored in the last few days, but now goal.com can say for sure thats its just a matter of hours before the arrival of santa cruz at zaragoza....at first it was thought that real betis would come in for him......but he went back trainign with bayer where he didnt have a place in the team (or summat like that)....and he didnt want to be there???? ...but that he definatley wants to come to la liga.....goal.com is now in position to afirm that zaragoza will pay 5 million euros to bayern for him.....he will sign for 4 seasons......something about 2 net this season for the forward...?????? not sure........cant be arsed with the last paragraph....at the bottom it says...do you think it will be a good reinforcement for zaragoza.......i suppose they mean will it be a good signing.....
