I can't believe what I am reading. The guy goes out of his way to provide us information on possible transfer news when for the last month all I have read is people complaining that nothing has happened at the club.

Give the guy a break.

Haha chillax! I'm entitled to my opinion - I don't think he has come out with any surprises as such. I knew we were linked with Rigters a week or so ago and the fact that we signed him pleased me, rather than surprised me.

As for speculating that deals are 'supposed to be getting done soon but the manager has a lot on' - well anyone could make up such stuff. I have no doubt that this guy does do a bit of research around the net, but the way that a lot of you people schpunk yourselves when someone comes on here in the form of a 'Pleasure' is hilarious.

If you'd have asked me a couple of days ago who we were most likely to sign out of the players that we have been linked with it probably would have been Rigters - and our most likely sales being Andy Todd and Franny Jeffers.

I've just checked quickly back through nicko's last three posts, and his grammar seems immaculate and I can only see one spelling mistake obviously caused by typing too quickly.

I would imagine 99.999% of us greatly value nicko's recent contributions to the m/b and even enjoyed the little guessing game today!. Please keep any info coming!.

I think the Brown one will prove his sources one way or the other.

It is one that is so unexpected - if we get any official word from the club regarding interest in him - then I think you will need to apologise to Nicko.

I am sure a year ago you posted something like according to your source, Mido would def be joining us!! Sounds like sour grapes on your part and it seems like Nicko has stolen your thunder.

Nicko at least provides some interest to this board, especially when it relates to most fans interests - i.e. transfer rumours. Most people seem interested in what Nicko has to say, so just let it be (no need for the sly digs).

ps - If it was not you who posted the Mido story apologies but I am sure it was you!

Andy Todd is the first one moving. Very shortly. Surprise destination. Still waiting to confirm it will get done without shenanigans.

The other has just come to light today. Will need a proper bid as he is important to the plans, but a fringe player.

No chain yanking indeed. Todd's no surprise (good luck and thanks for the years of hard graft) but Brown is. A bit disappointing too but playing 2nd fiddle to our most consistent player is never going to be an easy job and we can hardly blame him. Still it's quite a record he's taking with him: only 45 minutes played but a clean sheet and a penalty save!

Maybe we should get Phil Jagielka in as cover.

Nicko - quick question mate on the bellamy issue. I believe it was stated previously that you had a decent link to JW. Based on that, in your opinion how strong do you believe Rovers resolve is to bring Bellars back to the club? Do you think the Rigters deal has put an end to it unless someone else leaves? And how far do you think the club would stretch in financing it?

From the ones I have seen, the guy who started this rumour (claims his uncles monkeys brother works for the club) also claimed last week that Shaun Wright-Phillips had had a medical there.

Taking with a pinch of salt at this point.

he would deserve a proper hostile reception if that happens. i'm fine with him going to villa, there's an obvious connection there in martin o neill even though it'd be nice if he rejoined us. but joining west ham is a sure sign of greed.

Which footballers do you think aren't greedy? They're all out to maximise the money they can milk from the game while their careers last. If I had the talent, I'd have done the same.

Morning...

Just calmed down after discovering neither Todd nor Brown stories in the Mirror. Did suspect there were other things going on that would squeeze those out. Still, you got the tales which is the point of the exercise.

A couple of things. Snipe away or cheer along, it's fine by me. If you give stick, you have to take it...that's what makes football what it is. No complaints from here. Just puts extra pressure on to hope the stories come true.

One in a hundred happens as quick as Rigters. Others are slow and complicated.

To put one record straight, I don't have a hot line to the chairman. Find that quite amusing. Think he is a very decent operator, but that's the strength of it.

As for Bellamy - there will be six or seven after him if Liverpool start talking sensible money. The little Welshman will decided where he wants to go, a strong-minded sort. It would not shock me if he stayed at Liverpool - unless they really need the cash to balance the books badly.

If there are any movements on Todd and Brown I will let you know. Seems fair.

PS. Toddy story did make the Daily Sport. So the kids will be fed after all.

As I stated earlier on this board, Bellers won't be back here. Not connected or in the know just a gut feel for the way this individual is.

I wonder how many of the six or seven would still be after Bellers if he had not had that season here?

I would look out for some fireworks on the Jason Roberts front today.

Fulham will probably make an official move as the Diomansy Kamara deal from West Brom is stuttering a bit.

What they offer will probably be rejected, but the right price might prove tempting.

Is this going to be the busiest transfer window ever?

Just as a side issue, Nicko, you may know the answer being involved in journalism, but how does something like the story about Benni missing training manage to get reported as the truth when quite obviously, given Rovers reaction, it was far from it.
