b12_simon Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Roque was mentioned on Fighting Talk yesterday. One of the panellists suggested him as bargain of the season.

philipl Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Wow! Roque must have been brilliant at Sunderland. He is the first Rovers player to make it into Garth Crooks' Team of the Week on the BBC web site this season.
Ricky Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Love the Mail link posted by roversmum. Also interesting to note that even they noticed how rubbish our club shop is.
3rdpillar Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Love the Mail link posted by roversmum. Also interesting to note that even they noticed how rubbish our club shop is. .. .. ... the only excuse being, it isn't the club shop .. . .. .
JAL Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Having seen Macarthy, Roberts, Derbyshire, Righters and Santa Cruz over the past two games Roque Santa Cruz is by far and away our best attacker the rest really need to pull their finger out and try emulating Cruz because i feel he his carrying them. Derbyshire the one i was really looking forwrd to this season seems to be in a" i've made it now mode" forget the fact that hes playing out wide he aint doing it to justify a start. Roberts just doesnt cut the mustard. Righters looks totally out of his depth ....but i'll give him time to settle . Finally Benni hes got it, but does he really want to apply himself and showcase his talents only he knows Thankfully Santa Cruz is doing the business to spare the rest.
brfc fan Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 they probably nicked it from here I read that. Love the pic. I was going to say the next Benni but NO he certainly isn't. Santa's much better and I hope he'll get more goals. One more league goal and he's equalled his best ever! Stylish.
brfc fan Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Why've you got a picture of Face up there? I wanted to put THIS one up but it wouldn't let me.
DanLad Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I wanted to put THIS one up but it wouldn't let me. Cycle through a few of them! :-)
roversmum Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Perhaps he and Morten...............................no, best not go there.....
Presty On Tour Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Perhaps he and Morten...............................no, best not go there..... is santa cruz in a boy band too?
Jan Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 is santa cruz in a boy band too? If he was I bet HE could sing!
den Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 May I be the first one to say: We're gonna have one hell of a job keeping him next season
Oakland Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 May I be the first one to say: We're gonna have one hell of a job keeping him next season hope there's no clause in his contract!!!
Presty On Tour Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 is he a life long liverpool supporter?
Hughesy Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 No he is going to choose West Ham over Liverpool because he could win things there! And it wont be for the money!!
Fife Rover Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Having seen Macarthy, Roberts, Derbyshire, Righters and Santa Cruz over the past two games Roque Santa Cruz is by far and away our best attacker the rest really need to pull their finger out and try emulating Cruz because i feel he his carrying them. Not often I find myself in agreement with you Jal (no offence intended), but I almost do in this case. I just think you are being a bit hard on young Derbyshire (he is still young and learning) and ditto for Rigters. Otherwise spot on.
bluebruce Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 is santa cruz in a boy band too? Actually, he teamed up with a German rock band to sing "Ich, roque" in the song of the same name.
bluebruce Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 May I be the first one to say: We're gonna have one hell of a job keeping him next season You probably can't be the first Den, no. I'm sure someone in the media copyrighted 'Unsettling Rovers players' a long long time ago, along with the rights to 'Slagging off Rovers'.
Guest fernhurstblue Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 May I be the first one to say: We're gonna have one hell of a job keeping him next season from the rodney marsh school of obvious statements .....
b12_simon Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Santa Cruz Eyes Top 4 Finish That makes great reading. Genuine ambition and belief in the dressing changing room despite Thursday's defeat.
LWX Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 That makes great reading. Genuine ambition and belief in the dressing changing room despite Thursday's defeat. Agreed.... Let's not get too worried about being out of a tournament we didnt properly qualify for anyway. Instead, let's get behind one of the best Rovers sides for a good few years.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Santa Cruz Eyes Top 4 Finish May just need you to start hitting the back of the net more frequently mucker!
tcj_jones Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 While it's nice for our players to have ambition and to have confidence in the team, some really are living in a dream world. Oh, and I think Santa Cruz is both an excellent footballer and also a great person. If only McCarthy shared his attitude...
