LeftWinger Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 we have a player in every position in the top 5 bar midfield....bentley cant be too far off though. A quick scan and I reckon Bentley is 16th in the midfielders. No club has got someone in the top 5 in every position - be great if Bentley could make us the first - though Ronaldo could mean United beat us to it.

den Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 I watched Paraguay v Ecuador last night. Paraguay finished 5-1 winners, but the man of the match had to be Rocky. He was phenomenal. Everything Paraguay did went through him. He came off after 75 mins, but not before scoring a blinder. Anyone else see it?
frosty Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Good to see Santa Cruz doing well for Paraguay Will have to try and see if I can see the goal anywhere.
CornwallRover Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 All the goals The Santa Cruz goal is about 4:30 into it.

Thought Rocky played brilliantly but their entire front three caused problems all game to be fair.
Roar of the Rover Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Great finish, full of confidence.
Eddie Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Nice run, well taken, but didn't think the goal was overly special. Hopefully he'll come back fully fit and we won't have to worry about his knees every time he steps onto the pitch.

Superbly timed run, excellent through ball and a clinical finish, from a far from easy angle. Doesn't get much better, - does it?

Doesn't get much better, - does it? He scored one very similar in Europe from the left hich proves that he can hit it well with both feet too.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Hope he can get back on the goal trail for us. Whilst his all round play has remained excellent he hasn't really been getting into as many goal scoring positions recently as he was doing at the start of the season. Edit: Super goal, very unlucky with the header that went a fraction wide just before that on the highlights as well.
T4E Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Super finish, made it look easy. What always strikes me about Santa is how much bigger and stronger he always looks than the players he's up against, no matter who he's playing.
Derbyshire Blue Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Went to buy a new snowboard last Thursday evening…..no contest when my choice came down to a Salomon or Santa Cruz……hoping to take Rocky to the slopes next Sunday
philipl Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Tim Vickery on Santa Cruz- apologies if posted before
3recurring Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Big interview with Roque, in today's Guardian. Hidden hardships of coolest kid in town
Presty On Tour Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Big interview with Roque, in today's Guardian. Hidden hardships of coolest kid in town tidy interview, top bloke too. didn't know about his bro, well sad.
USABlue Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Big interview with Roque, in today's Guardian. Hidden hardships of coolest kid in town Well done sparky, sounds like he had to sell the club to Rocky.
philipl Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 The more I read of Roque, the more I understand what an extraordinary coup it was to have brought him to Ewood. There could not be a starker contrast between that interview and today's Guardian's other interview with Joey Barton.
Beta Ray Bill Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Interesting observations on refs. Maybe the interview was conducted before Mr Dowd's masterclass on Wednesday!
gumboots Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 My daughter, who has seen very few Rovers games this season for various reasons, said yesterday she still has to be convinced by Roque. Needless to say we soon put her right.
