stuwilky Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Where'd you find that stu? Birmingham to Helsinki about £140 return, is the best i've found. They can have him if they like him so much! Tampere is the other airport - but Im struggling with finding how to get from there to Mypa.

modes98 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Tampere is the other airport - but Im struggling with finding how to get from there to Mypa. Airport info A few flights about 130 there, strange times though. List of airports in Finland Come on then Smarty Clarke how?
Ricky Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I've been to Lahti before, visited in about 97 I think.
brfcs5359 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 I can get to Finland for £92 What about getting back Ricky?
Ricky Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I looked at Tampere airport as well Stu. Problem does seem to be getting from there to where Mypa play.
Ricky Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 lol, that does include a return flight... thought it was a good price to be fair. Still dont think I can go though.
Jordan Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 BOOKED - Ryanair - Stanstead to Tampere Tues to Friday £92.00
Glenn Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Tampere does seem the cheap option, but as I'll have to work Tuesday it may be cuttng it close the fly there on the wednesday night.
brfcs5359 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 BOOKED - Ryanair - Stanstead to Tampere Tues to Friday £92.00 3 days! And £392 in drinking money!
FINRover Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I've been to Lahti before, visited in about 97 I think. In Lahti living about 100 000 peoples and Lahti is very easy city, there is no problem. Lahti is a lot of cheap than Helsinki. Myllykoski is densely populated area in city of Anjalankoski. In Anjalankoski town living 17000 peoples and Myllykoski is about 5000 peoples. And Myllykoski Oy is big papercompany who is big sponsor for football team Mypa-47. btw brfc fan Thanks to Pm, I try to sent back pm for you but I thinks it's fail.
Ricky Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 train from Tempere to Helsinki is 1hr 45mins and costs 26 euros so its not too unreasonable to fly there.
Glenn Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Cheapest Helskinki flight is can find is with these guys www.blue1.com (£165)
Jim J Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Will Rovers be putting on any travel arrangements for this? The prices I have found are a little excessive to say the least.
Barry Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Tampere is the other airport - but Im struggling with finding how to get from there to Mypa. You will recall that we helped a lot of Rovers fans to get to Vilnius after they had pre-empted that the Inter Toto game would be in Warsaw. We are again arranging packages to include either flights/hotel/transfers or, if you prefer to book your own flights, hotel/transfer package from Helsinki to the game. Subject to demand we may consider a hotel/transfer package from Tampere although at this stage it is looking unlikley. Paul - Staying Away 0871 423 5057
promoted2001 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Who's Pa are we playing? Sorry, couldn't resist. I'll run now
Lathund Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Won't it be cold in Finland? What if the pitch freezes? It's August, so I assume you're not being serious? ETA: Decent draw for the Swedish teams as well. AIK vs FK Metalurgs, Hammarby vs Fredrikstad and Helsingborg vs Drogheda. None of the games will be easy, but they're all doable. I also find it quite funny that two relegated teams, Häcken and Dunfermline, will be playing eachother
MickeFIN Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 At least rovers got finnishteam hahah i haved waited that about 20years :) if some one need help for staying or travel or etc... add me MSN hellsinkiboy@hotmail.com
SuperStella Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Good old Micka! We showed him the sites of Blackburn many times so he owes it to Blackburn fans to return the favour! In fact, he should be putting people up at his house and cooking breakfasts.
