joey_big_nose Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Team I would go for: -------------Cruz----Derbyshire Pedersen----Dunn-------------Bentley ----------------------Tugay Warnock--Nelsen---Samba---Emerton -----------------Freidal Subs: Brown, Ooijer, Mokoena, Savage, Roberts 0-3
Raymond Rover Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Hope I get back from work in time for the second half, we should be 2-0 up by then making it easier for me to watch. I don't want to get back knackered and have a nail biting 45 minutes, don't think I could take it! Santa to give us at least one present.
Presty On Tour Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 if i remember you are allowed 7 subs in uefa competitions. a professional performance will do tidy, get a few goals into the lead and give the subs a run out in europe. i saw ajax are 0-1 down in their champions league qualifier, i would love to go there again santa to give us a few presents and send the barmy army wild!!!!
philipl Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Rosenborg rolled over Tampere 3-0 in Finland last night and this lot went down 5-0 to Helsinki recently. That said and a performance like the ones we put in against the Prem's bottom teams last season and we could be in trouble. A good test for the deeper resilience of Rovers this time around. Would be nice for the Rovers to have the problem of wondering how to market a dead leg back at Ewood.
Finch Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 15.55, live on Channel 5. Don't know what's wrong with Eurosport myself... Dammit one of the few times we get to watch Rovers on telly and it starts before most of us finish work. channel five listings today
roversmum Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I notice they've got a documentary about Burley at 6.30
Daremz Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 i saw ajax are 0-1 down in their champions league qualifier, i would love to go there again Sssttt! Not that loud! Ajax were soooo poor yesterday! But still, Ajax vs. Rovers would be my absolute dream match.... MyPa have one dangerous Brazilian in the squad, my scouts told me.
krislu Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Should be a very very easy win for Rovers. Mypa-47 0 Rovers 5
Moppy Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Rovers' site says 17:55, BBC site & Five says 15:55 - I'm guessing it's the latter as Five'll be showing the game live. Where did you get that from "Uefa Cup, second qualifying round, first-leg Date: Thursday, 16 August Kick-off: 1945 BST Venue: Anjalankoski Stadium Updates: BBC Sport website and mobile" From the BBC Preview clicky
Eddie Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I presume that the Rovers site has every fixture down by local time, so it is a 15:55 kick off in the UK.
Ronin Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 A good performance as Rovers get their sharpness back after pre-season, and a few goals to take back to Ewood would be good. Only rub being that it's on early and I'll miss the game as I'm at work. Hoping it's on the radio.

AndyH16 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Where did you get that from "Uefa Cup, second qualifying round, first-leg Date: Thursday, 16 August Kick-off: 1945 BST Venue: Anjalankoski Stadium Updates: BBC Sport website and mobile" From the BBC Preview clicky Yes, the preview mentions the wrong time but the Fixtures for the day show it with the correct time. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/f...res/default.stm
pleasure Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 6-0, roque 1st goal. commentary will be on radio lancs, and surely through it's website. www. bbc.co.uk/lancashire.
USRoverME Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Eurosport has a lineup up, not 100% sure if correct, but its a virtual full strength squad. Friedel Ooijer - Samba - Nelsen - Warnock MGP - Dunn - Sav - Bentley Derbs - Santa Just for fun, the MyPa lineup Korhonen Pulkkinen - Huttunen - Marchis - Miranda Fofana - Agboh - Manso - Kuparinen Hyyrynen - Puhakainen
grizfoot Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 2-0 Rovers I reckon. If that is indeed the line-up it will instersting to see how Santa Cruz & Derbyshire play together upfront. It as the potential to be a very good striking partnership in my opinion.
den Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Official: One change from boro: Cruz for Benni. Bench: Derbs, Richters, Emerton, Kishi, Mokoena, Encks, Toogs.
