allrovertheworld Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Never has the 'There's only One Jack Walker ' chant been more significant in the game. Its my fave chant and I would ask everyone when Man City, Chelsea, Villa, Man Utd, Newcastle and Liverpool turn up to our ground, its given a real blast directed at the away fans. They can only imagine what it is like for the club to be owned by a man like Jack. Quote

Claytons Left Boot Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) The proposed flag for the Blackburn End should be massive - should fill the whole lower tier and carry a club crest together with a photo of Jack. With the words....'Local Man Who Supported His Local Team. Legend.' or something similar. We may as well do away with the Wild Rover theme just before kick off - hardly anyone joins in and the nouveau Rovers don't understand it anyway. Just have, 'There's Only One Jack Walker' as our song. Edited September 12, 2008 by Claytons Left Boot Quote
LDRover Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 The proposed flag for the Blackburn End should be massive - should fill the whole lower tier and carrier a club crest together with a photo of Jack. With the words....'Local Man Who Supported His Local Team. Legend.' or something similar. Agreed. Man U celebrate Busby, Liverpool - Shankly but it's doubtful even those legends had as much of an impact on their club as Jack Walker did. We should never forget and equally we should not let fans of other clubs forget either. Quote

In an era where we could get left behind because of foreign owenership, we should be blowing our trumpet more than ever about all the great things we have going for us. Quote

Ozz Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 With the words....'Local Man Who Supported His Local Team. Legend.' or something similar. Agreed, but it may further enhance Blackburns image as a Royston Vasey! Quote
Atomicrover Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I always think that the closing scene, when Jack says, "I'm just in love with job", should be played on the big screen just before every home kick-off so that the players can see what being a Rover REALLY means Quote
