alexanders Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Ok, it is the championship but what the heck. Have been watching first half between PNE and Birmingham Both look better than us atm, and they both have more pace and creativity than we have. It is sad.

Guest Kamy100 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Oh dear Newcastle are winning. Rovers in even bigger trouble.
T4E Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Newcastle now 2-0 up. We're now miles adrift. We probably now need 3 wins to get back on an even keel. It's been said a millions times before, but what on Earth are we waiting for? This is not going to improve under Ince. There must be another reason why we're not sacking him.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Can we stay up this season? I'm beginning to think its an impossible task...
PAFELL Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 It's no wonder Pennants trouble and indisciplined is it? http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/dec/13/u...ootball-pennant Reminds me of Gazza and his daft Dad. Some people should not be allowed to raise children. Interesting comment - do we blame parents for every trouble their children get into? Sound parential upbringing is essential for all children. But, we all know the difference between right and wrong, as time goes on the respncibility becomes the childs to do that which is right. Of course with regard to your comments about Pennant, the behaviour of his father hasn't helped Pennant at all. But the son is old enough to make his own decisions.

Of course he is but then it's what you get before the age of about 2 or 3 that's important. My kids are lovely (not biased opinion - everyone says so) but it was very hard work when they were small. Howevr, barring odd little incidents I've rarely had any trouble since. Kids learn before you know they're learning and it's those early years that really count.

Totally agree - for the past year I have been helping look after a group of special need children - teenagers in age but not mentally - they appear to learn things when you don't think they are listenning. The early years are essential as you say - sadly the ones I was helping out were all abandoned by so called well to do parents. helping them get over that part has been the hardest part - imo.
Guest Kamy100 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Now West Ham are winning at Chelsea, it gets worse.
gazsimm Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 we are in the poo even if chelsea come back
Stuart Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Can it get any worse? Yes, theoretically, Ince could still be in charge for a home defeat to Stoke next week...
vintageadidas Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Blackburn Rovers were relegated today!
1864roverite Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Now West Ham are winning at Chelsea, it gets worse. Come on kamy, it can hardly get any worse can it ?? Laughing int he face of adversity seems to be the key, after all, Ince and co are doing it and surviving
T4E Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Finished 1-1, which puts us 6 points behind West Ham. Lucash did his best to do us a favour and give away the 317th penalty of his career but even that didn't go our way.
Eddie Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Diarra will move to Real Madrid for around 20 million. Here was a player that many of us said Rovers should have splashed out on a little as he would almost certainly have a resale value. Shows us why it is possible for this club to survive in the premiership if we actually spend a bit of money.

I agree, but you have to take into consideration he can turn out to be a flop or injured etc.

Also the Gaydamaks were money no object in those days- Diarra arrived on £60k a week for £6m. No matter what Rovers offered and we did bid), Pompey were going to trump us.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Ferguson on Ronaldo to Real: "I wouldn't sell that mob a virus."
alexanders Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Laudrup's Spartak Moskva against Spurs tonight.
thenodrog Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Ferguson on Ronaldo to Real: "I wouldn't sell that mob a virus." Absolutely effin hilarious! The Diplomatic corps missed out big time when Fergy went into football management! I couldn't find a video link on Sky but it's been repeated all evening. A must see! This doesn't do his performance justice......... "Do you think I would get into a contract with that mob? Exactly. Jesus Christ, no chance. I wouldn't sell them a virus," said the Scot after watching his side beat Japan's Gamba Osaka 5-3 on Thursday to reach the final of the Fifa Club World Cup. "That's a no," he added. Anybody else would get absolutely hammered for it, but the old RFW is sure to come up smelling of roses.

Majiball Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Bilic for Sunderland, looks like. Good, we'll finally get to see if he can cut it.
