Eddie Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Oh it certainly is a fix, I mean it has happened two years in a row now. Still, I have to admit that I always watch these games, whereas that isn't true for any other non-Rovers fixtures except for maybe City v United and Liverpool v Everton.

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I know they are not Premier League but I don't want to make another thread. Dingles blimp "found" 13 bidders :D
philipl Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Well stick it in the two threads that already exist about the blimp instead of polluting the Premiership.
philipl Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 After all the hype and speculation, two deals have been announced that will be confirmed when the window opens- Gunter from Cardiff to Spurs for £3m and Speed from Bolton to Sheffield United for £250K. Is Gary Speed the last player to have played Prem football in every season of the Premiership or has Andy Cole managed that as well?
modes98 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Is Gary Speed the last player to have played Prem football in every season of the Premiership or has Andy Cole managed that as well? Giggs? Not sure on cole but i think he has played every season
frosty Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Giggs has scored in every Premiership season so yes him as well. And David James?
modes98 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 And David James? Looks like it looking over his career. Maybe Sol Campbell as well?
Darth Paul Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Andy Cole missed the first season in the Premiership didn't he? Nicky Butt? Ian Pearce?
modes98 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Andy Cole missed the first season in the Premiership didn't he? Nicky Butt? Ian Pearce? I forgot that Newcastle weren't in the prem for the first season. Just looked at the dates and assumed. You are correct. He signed for Newcastle in Feb 1993 but newcastle were in div 1 at the time.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Well stick it in the two threads that already exist about the blimp instead of polluting the Premiership. mellow.gif I posted that link before either thread was made.
philipl Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Biut there already two other Burnley blimp threads floated over Yorkshire and out across the North Sea. The blessed thing is now on four threads!
waggy Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 how gutted everton must be after pienarr stuck his trailing leg out at gold trafford yesterday, they had withstood all utd had thrown at them, and a south african makes a 5 a side challenge
philipl Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 The 1pm kick-offs weren't without incident. Phil Dowd sent 3 off in the Chelsea-Villa (4-4) game. Chelsea can have no arguments about Cole and Carvalho's dismissals whilst Knight had to go if Dowd was being consistent with sending Nelsen off a few weeks back- so we lose the dirtiest tag for the next 28 hours! Could have done without Huddlestone scoring a brace for Spuds in their demolition of Fulham but Reading did us a bit of a favour with their agaist the run of play draw at Upton Park.
Flopsy Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 MOTD should be interesting tonight. I much prefer it when Rovers arent playing. Lot less stressful
Hasta Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 but Reading did us a bit of a favour with their agaist the run of play draw at Upton Park. I thought Reading played well and thoroughly deserved their draw. They were on top until the sending off and then second half every time i saw they were still pushing forward. Admittedly I was channel-hoping quite a lot.
frosty Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 MOTD should be interesting tonight. I much prefer it when Rovers arent playing. Lot less stressful It's good when we have won, but of late, that's been a bit rare.
herbergeehh Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 McEveley just cancelled out Torres' magnificent goal, it's 1-1 at Pride Park. Not seen him much this season, but he made a brilliant tackle against Newcastle last week, and looks to have settled in Derby's starting XI. Keep it up, too bad the team will get relegated record early.
tony gale's mic Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 not a bad day for us...west ham and newcastle getting poor results. we have been going through an awful run but thankfully many of the teams around us have been doing the same so we're still in touch.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Derby might as well start planning for next season in the transfer window. With only 7 points at the half way period, I really can't see them pulling back 33 more points to get to the magical 40pts mark.

With only 7 points at the half way period, I really can't see them pulling back 33 more points to get to the magical 40pts mark. No doubt it will be 30 more points needed after Sunday!
92er Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 No doubt it will be 30 more points needed after Sunday! I guess that sounds right.
Tris Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I was channel-hoping quite a lot. I'm always hoping for better TV channels - but they keep on dishing up the same old replays. Rubbish.
Hasta Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I'm always hoping for better TV channels - but they keep on dishing up the same old replays. Rubbish. very good
speeeeeeedie Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 The Chelsea-Villa game was a cracker. Villa deserved the draw. Chelsea are a bunch of moaning gits. Derby are probably the worst Prem team to have graced the league since its inception. They are horrible. McEveley scored but he proved to me why Rovers let him go; he's not good enough for the Premier League. Having said that, they were unlucky to lose yesterday. Liverpool thought that they were playing a pub team and switched off as they always do against bad opposition. I think Liverpool should get rid of Benitez, I like the bloke but he is missing something.
