From that link.....

" England will win the next World Cup and were prevented from winning the last one solely by a surfeit of waggery."

Crikey! "a surfeit of waggery"! I think we'd better take his one man attempt to see BRFC relegated under 'allidyce' a bit more seriously!!!

He ran the show against City the other day I was impressed.

However even the sun shines on a dogs ass.

Bazza, the explanation is simple and obvious, even you can work it out for yourself.

Breaking news on SSN - Sky Sources suggest Man City in talks with Chelsea over deal for Wayne Bridge.

Wayne Bridge is one of the luckiest players going. He had a decent spell at Southampton then moves to Chelsea and is paid £££ for sitting on the bench majority of the time and if he gets a move to City he'll probably be put on an even bigger wage and well actually get to play some first team football. Decent player though, guess they won't be after Warnock if they manage to get Bridge then.

Wayne Bridge would be a great buy. He was great at Southampton and it's such a shame that the two best English left backs were at the same club which meant we never got to see the best of Wayne. Hopefully at Man City he will show everyone just why he's a great player and repeat the form he showed at Southampton and the cameo's at Stamford Bridge.

Very average player in a very good side, lacks the one thing all top class full backs need, pace. I wouldn't swap him for Warnock.

You having a laugh?! Wayne Bridge is actually pretty quick.Fair enough he isn't faster than Ashley Cole, but there aren't many who are, but he's got a great engine on him which allows him to get up and down the line all day long with the ability to put a great cross in and beat a man. Whilst at Southampton he was one of their best players and was a joy to watch as he was also a top defender (better than Cole defensively IMO) and took a great freekick. As a Southampton man myself, I take great pride in watching a fellow Sotonian play and the most disappointing thing is that he hasn't had games to show off just how good he is. Hopefully at Man City he can get back to his best.

Sparky seems to rate him

11.05 Chelsea have confirmed that Wayne Bridge has been given permission to hold talks with Manchester City over a proposed £12million move.

Unbelievable! £12m for a left back. And Hughes says he wont pay over the odds.

No way is Bridge worth £12m. RSC is worth £35m if that's the case. I think the media are operating on two different plains of thought over Man City. One, probably eminating from the circles that own the club are letting loose the links to Buffon, Eto'o and so on, and those who are close to Hughes who mention the likes of Bellamy, RSC, Warnock and Bridge. In other words, Hughes wants Bellamy and RSC, whilst the owners and big shot directors want to be after real big names. I reckon the actual signings will be a mix of the two camps' wishlists, probably with RSC involved.

Credit crunch must be affecting Chelsea then because I thought Abramovich said he wouldn't deal with City after the Robinho affair. But if Bridge is worth that then RSC is worth double!

Don't forget he is only down to his last couple of billion now  .

If Arsenal want him, they have got him.

But the question is will Arsene open his eyes and realize that Almunia is possibly among the 5 most average keepers in this league.

I'd disagree with you there Bobby G, many of the goals Almunia has conceded have been of the highest quality, either thunderbolts, in off the bar, or off the post or curling in from an outside position.

Dont think there is another keeper in the league whos had to face such quality finishes.
