Bobby G Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 It just says they have been in talks and hope to seal a deal within 2 weeks.
Helmshore blue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 SSN also reports that denilson is in manchester holding talks with bolton. I had no idea he was still playing, hes the sort of player Sam would be looking at during his time at bolton

I had no idea he was still playing, hes the sort of player Sam would be looking at during his time at bolton Still playing? He's only about 19, surprised Arsenal don't want to keep him.......... Oh right you mean the left winger who was once the most expensive player in the world, why not, you can never go wrong with a Brazilian... can you? In other news it's not all bad for Portsmouth, Richard Hughes is going to hopefully sign a new contract!!!! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4756006,00.html
Helmshore blue Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just heard that denilson is only 31, once seen as one of the best players in the world. Could be worth a look.
braddock Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just heard that denilson is only 31, once seen as one of the best players in the world. Could be worth a look. i'm sure we have signed an aging left winger made famous in the spanish leagues previously. he wasnt very good
American Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just heard that denilson is only 31, once seen as one of the best players in the world. Could be worth a look. MLS reject.
John Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Sad to see the 'spineless' Tony Adams in a bit of bother......
jim mk2 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Kris Boyd made available for transfer by Rangers after Brum made a bid. The 25-year-old has an excellent goalscoring record and might be worth a punt. Cue shrieking hysterics from jan.
ffan Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Matthew Etherington to Stoke...could be a decent signing for them.
Jan Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Kris Boyd made available for transfer by Rangers after Brum made a bid. The 25-year-old has an excellent goalscoring record and might be worth a punt. Cue shrieking hysterics from jan. He's ok. Nothing special. Not sure he'd cut it in the Premier League, any more than I'm sure McGeady would, but for different reasons.

Celtic fans says a Rangers player is OK ?.... which means he must be very good ! He certainly knows how to find the net.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 What do people think of Nigel Clough taking over at Derby, he's certainly took his time before stepping up from the lower leagues to a higher division. 10 years he's spent there, done okay by the sounds of it but not done a great deal there worth shouting about till this season. So will he be like his dad or like Incey?
imy9 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 This Defoe deal is baffling: Reports suggest £15 million but Spurs are compelled to announce any transfer over £10 million, they have NOT. Anybody got any ideas how this has worked. I am intrigued how this deal is beneficial to Portsmouth, they paid nearly £9 million a year ago and if they have sold him for the same amount it is a daft deal!
Jan Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Celtic fans says a Rangers player is OK ?.... which means he must be very good ! He certainly knows how to find the net. He's probably on a lesser footing than James McFadden and renowned for falling out with everyone (Smith, Burley)

So will he be like his dad or like Incey? Huge risk, if he wasn't Brian Clough's son, and if his Dad hadn't been a legend at Derby, doubtful he would be being considered. Leeds obviously didn't take a punt on him in similar circumstances! Seems a nice bloke though. Hope he does ok if appointed.

Definitely is a risk, especially at this stage of the season given the position they are in. I always liked his Dad though so I hope he does well. He has been appointed by the way, confirmed on various websites. Any deal over £10m cannot be undisclosed? Seems odd that it's that high. Anyway if that is the case then it is probably that Portsmouth still owe 7.5m or so to Spurs and Tottenham have paid 7.5m for him, so all in all worth about 15 but Tottenham have only actually paid 7.5m. Completley a guess by the way but in nicko's thread it was mentioned that they still owed money for him and that was why Spurs held all the cards in that deal.

T4E Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Kris Boyd made available for transfer by Rangers after Brum made a bid. The 25-year-old has an excellent goalscoring record and might be worth a punt. Cue shrieking hysterics from jan. He's very average in every way apart from finishing. Which he is genuine World Class. Little bit of a one trick pony, but the trick he can do is the most important one of all. I'll be very disappointed if he goes to Birmingham. Rovers picking him up would soften the blow. He's probably on a lesser footing than James McFadden and renowned for falling out with everyone (Smith, Burley) Not sure about that Jan. Burley is a wino and tried to make a point at the expense of his country. Same thing Boyd is being criticised for. Walter Smith knows how good he is, there's no problem there.
alexanders Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 8.13 Manchester City have tabled an £8million offer for Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given, according to reports in the Daily Mail. What about Schmeichel and Hart ? Do they need another GK? I think City are strengthening the wrong positions ie GK, Striker.
thenodrog Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 8.13 Manchester City have tabled an £8million offer for Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given, according to reports in the Daily Mail. Did we insert a sell-on clause?
Majiball Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Did we insert a sell-on clause? Lets hope so but alas it would seem we only do it on purchases.
Bobby G Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 We would have been idiotic not to when he was arguably the best young keeper in Britain, yet to break through. Or did we lose him on a free? Cant recall.
