Grabbi Graeme Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Just been watching SSN and Rafa has been on there having a go at Fergie over his moans about everything against Utd. Rafa highlighted the fact that Utd played on the 29th Dec while everyone else played on the 28th, also he pointed out that Utd now play all their main rivals at home in the second half of the season. Rafa also added that last season Liverpool had a lot of Saturday dinner time kick offs while Utd played Sunday. Not sure if he is playing into Fergies hands by coming out with this as we know how RFW is a master of mind games, will be interesting to hear Fergies response.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 7.51 Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate insists Stewart Downing should be aiming higher than Tottenham, who have had two bids rejected for the unsettled winger. Haha. Go Gareth! That's classic, not only do they reject the bid they also slate the club! I don't think Downing is that class but Southgate is actually telling the truth!!
mickbrown Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Strange Sheff Utd selling their best player beattie for £2.5 Million for a club about to get £50 Million from West Ham.........

Certainly think it'll liven things up, a little uncharacteristic of Rafa it seems, he must have got bored when he was in hospital for a while. Them's fighting words!

Just seen it on SSN fantastic stuff from Rafa, hes certainly opened up a can of worms for Ferguson. Particularly liked the bit about Rafa accussing Ferguson of always verbally attacking referess and saying that the FA never punish him - get in there Rafa. War has been declared.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Bolton have reported an operating loss of 8.4 MILLION and their net debt level now stands at some 53.5 MILLION!
Hughesy Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Bolton have reported an operating loss of 8.4 MILLION and their net debt level now stands at some 53.5 MILLION! Compared to a £7m operating profit to our club..... Very good news for us. The more bolton suffer the better, cant stand them. As for Rafa - he has just become Keegan Mk2, he has lost the plot and Liverpool will blow the title.

Fergy publically insulted 'that mob' two weeks ago and now Benitez will be viewed as a top bloke by the people of Madrid.
JAL Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 As for Rafa - he has just become Keegan Mk2, he has lost the plot and Liverpool will blow the title. Didnt think he was anywhere near as uncontrolled as Keegan was all those days ago. Rafa looked like he had his script, played it cool, whilst having a laugh at Ferguson expense by suggesting Fergie should print out the fixture list and mail everyone else. He was far from anything like Keegan though I suspect United fans will be trying to spin it that way.

Even more so when he and Liverpool FC land their first premiership title this summer.
Presty On Tour Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Rafa outburst link Quality handbag bitching imo! The only thing missing was a live cam to RFW.
Guest Kamy100 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Rafa outburst link Quality handbag bitching imo! The only thing missing was a live cam to RFW. Looks like Fergie's mind games are having the desired affect on Rafa.
Zulu Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Compared to a £7m operating profit to our club..... Very good news for us. The more bolton suffer the better, cant stand them. Very disappointing - as everyone at Bolton speaks very highly of you Hughesy. Muppet.
Mr Creosote Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Very disappointing - as everyone at Bolton speaks very highly of you Hughesy. Muppet. You should be pleased with that post Zulu. You can use it as amo against those of us who keep telling you that you are not our rivals. You aren't by the way.

Yes he had it scripted on a piece of paper, yes he didnt scream and shout, but he is obviously riled by Fergie and his team. He has just played into Fergie and the media's hand.

alexanders Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Great stuff from Rafa. I hope the refs think about every time they are to coward to award the away teams at old trafford penalties or sending off scumbags like Rooney, Ronaldo etc. It is a fact that United and Ferguson come away with a lot more than the other teams. Take Utd-LFC last year when Mascherano was sent off for mouth sputing. Rooney spouts for a whole year and doesn't get sent off. Ronaldo kicks after another guy - nothing happens. I think Rafa was spot on !

He has just played into Fergie and the media's hand. Hes blown the FA's respect campaign wide open, the accusations simply cant be ignored. Rafa has made some damming statements on his nearest rival, cant see how you can hes say playing into Fergies hands. Though we wait for Fergies measured retort which should be interesting.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It was a great time for him to say it as Liverpool are top of the league. If they weren't top, he probably wouldn't/couldn't have come out with it without looking like he's under pressure. The great thing about it is that it's the ultimate mind game. Not only will everyone be looking out for Ferguson in the future and questioning everything he does, even Ferguson will probably have to make sure he doesn't do any of his usual "tactics" which could benefit everyone but Man Utd. It was a an 'ace' card by Rafa. Brilliant stuff.
ffan Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Fulham and Wigan are looking into whether they could launch a compensation claim against West Ham, should it be proved that the London club breached further Premier League rules in the Carlos Tevez affair. (The Times)
gumboots Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Portsmouth City off so Hughes survives and gets some spare time to wind up every other prem manager.
thenodrog Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Portsmouth City off so Hughes survives and gets some spare time to wind up every other prem manager. Postponement! Hmmmm ..... A situation that every club looking to buy soon but haven't done yet would love to happen. Us includede no doubt. Just think when it's re-arranged City might have RSC, Bellamy, Given / virtually anyone to pick from whilst Pompey could be minus Crouch and maybe even more. Lets hope that not shelling out for undersoil heating might ultimately prove to be the most expensive option for Pompey.
tony gale's mic Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Balls that postponement has hit potential winnings from a few accumulators...
alexanders Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Villa 1 up against Brom. Graham Poll agreeing with Rafa. This is AWESOME ! He agrees that Ferguson gets another treatment by the FA. Rafa Benitez put some lights on Ferguson who needs to be careful in the following campaigns. Graham Poll agreeing with Benitez
