Guest Kamy100 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 WBA's new signing Jay Simpson from Arsenal looks like a very promising player, he is causing Villa all sorts of problems.
Backroom Tom Posted January 10, 2009 Backroom Posted January 10, 2009 Is he a loanee or perma signing? Looked decent in the carling cup for Arsenal.
brfcshabba Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Bolton could only name three outfield subs against Arsenal today due to injuries, so much for introducing academy players to Premier League benches.

Away game.. probably not worth the hazzle to fly them to London. If it was a home game, I'm sure there would've been a full bench.
1864roverite Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 newcastle v wham 2-2 sunderland v boro 1-1 bolton v arsenal 0-0 villa v wba 2-1 the scores on the doors as we speak
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I can't decide whether they are good or bad.
budha Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I can't decide whether they are good or bad. When our rivals play against the better teams they should lose and if they play against each others they should draw Looks pretty good (after Bendtners goal vs. Bolton).
BRFC1995 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 what a brilliant day no one around us got 3 pts and they where all playing each other, and we did'nt play a bang in form team at their place..........todays worked out as a right result .................c'mon liverpool do some damage to stokes gd!!!!!!
beerwins Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 what a brilliant day no one around us got 3 pts and they where all playing each other, and we did'nt play a bang in form team at their place..........todays worked out as a right result .................c'mon liverpool do some damage to stokes gd!!!!!! Yeh im pretty happy with the results so far no-one stretching away and hull sliding, if liverpool hammer stoke it will be a good day
philipl Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Strange Sheff Utd selling their best player beattie for £2.5 Million for a club about to get £50 Million from West Ham......... If they do not get a good settlement then they don't get the cash. If they do get a good settlement, West Ham go into administration and they don't get the cash. Being pragmatic I would say.
frosty Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Is he a loanee or perma signing? Looked decent in the carling cup for Arsenal. Just a loan.
leftfooter Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Fulham and Wigan are looking into whether they could launch a compensation claim against West Ham, should it be proved that the London club breached further Premier League rules in the Carlos Tevez affair. (The Times) Further sympathy for the offender at the expense of the victim, this time by Henry Winter in the Telegraph. He writes: 'How will Sheffield United benefit from further West Ham punishment?' "...This investigation helps no one. West Ham will be further paralysed by uncertainty, making the club less appealing to would-be purchasers. The inquiry certainly will not assist the West Ham manager, Gianfranco Zola, one of football's good guys who may come under more pressure to offload players..." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...punishment.html The point he's missing of course is that punishing delinquent behaviour should not just be about compensating the victim. It should also give the offender's peers an opportunity to show their disapproval and of course to act as a deterrence in respect of further infractions. Taken to its logical conclusion, the reason cited by the three man Premier League panel for not properly punishing them by points deduction, (that it would punish the West Ham fans) would mean that clubs could basically do what they like and then effectively use their own fans as human shields. Sheffield United, Fulham and Wigan will now hopefully enforce appropriate restitution. West Ham is a rogue club and should be held properly accountable for its cheating and duplicity. To hide behind the original Panel's decision is to make its fans as deceitful and disingenuous as the club they support.
imy9 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I cannot believe our luck today. All the teams around us have either lost or drawn their matches, in the case of Boro and West Brom, lost home games. We avoided playing a team who had won more points home than any other team in the league AND were in form. We get two weeks for our players to recover, so enabling Dunn, Grella and RSC to get fit for our next game. We have two winnable games at HOME against teams around us, life is good
Hughesy Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Just seen this on Skysports - whats this all about?? "Bolton - who named only three outfield players on the bench" Does that mean they had 4 keepers on the bench???

rovers1993 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 they only had 4 subs today. 1 keeper and 3 outfield players. too many injuries to players so they couldn't even get 7 subs.
BRFC1995 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 what the ! are liverpool doing not picking any strikers against stoke! rafa u knob we need you to win 5 or 6 zip u spanish tosser AAAAAAAhhhhhgggg be torres and keane up front when they play us
DeadlyDirk Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Balls that postponement has hit potential winnings from a few accumulators... Yeh mine is suffering, seems to be that it just voids them and doesn't affect your bet (Obviously win less as there are less games though.) Right now though Liverpool are costing me big time!!
brfcshabba Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Lucas is making Keith Andrews look like a good player
philipl Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Stoke 0 Liverpool 0. Now that was a performance against Liverpool- losing 1-3 at home was not. Spurs back in the relegation zone. I always thought that all the hype of us playing a great game against Liverpool was a complete load of balloney. We had been dire before and we just rubbish against Liverpool but for Ince that was a temporary job saving triumph. Ince really was the reincarnation of Jim Iley. Shame he lasted more than 42 days at the club.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 And that's why Liverpool won't win the title. Shame it was a draw, puts more room between us and safety.
